Agreed,,, see if you can find a M1008 military pickup, comes with a D60 front and Corp 14 rear, both 8 lug one ton axles with a free float rear, geared in 4.56 stock...

Well even a D44 front and a 6 lug semi float 14 bolt rear would be an upgrade. None the less I would ditch the 3.08 gears that came in those 10 bolts in favor of something around a 3.73 at least. Just something to ponder.

So far I have not had any issues with the gears and do not plan to do any ferocious offroading...but I am always interested in better gas mileage

Obviously the 4.56s would not help mpg, would 3.73s help? I don't think they would but I'm not sure

I appreciate the suggestions and I am sure they are great for offroading but I need something affordable to drive around town as well
