Name: Gray
Hometown: I guess technically it would be Los Angeles, but I never called it home.
Current Location: Seattle
Occupation: Computer monkey

Hey folks, I joined a little bit ago, but for some reason never posted in this thread. I'm originally from the CA, but got lucky and was able to transfer to the Seattle office for work and so I moved up here a couple winters back. I don't have any formal experience to speak of, no military... not even boyscouts. I was living in New Orleans when Katrina rolled through, so I've got some first hand experience with things going to hell.

Not sure what skills I really bring to the table. I was a chef once upon a time and have a degree in Culinary Arts that's just gathering dust. So cooking I can do and I used to be pretty good at breaking down animals for cooking. I also make mead. So I've got my PAW booze covered I suppose.

I'm interested in just about everything, but specifically and more immediately I'd like to learn how to shoot something other than a shotgun :)

Profession: I do sales for a sheepskin company, she is currently unemployed.
Interests: Fishing, hiking, camping, tabletop war gaming, RPG's, rock collecting ---- we also are into food preservation, and survival... and between the two of us, while not being experts, do know enough to get the job done. We also do quite a bit of farming, and harvesting of natural foods.
I'm also former Army, Intelligence, specifically signals warfare and Morse Code --- have been stationed in both Central America and Europe.

Hometown: Grew up a Navy brat moving around the country but it is probably somewhere in Florida.
Location: Somewhere on Whidbey Island
Occupation: I work with Info Tech in the Navy
Interests: Camping, science fiction, gaming, apocalyptic movies, reading random things on the internet.
Bio: I am married with 3 kids. I used to be active in the outdoors and search and rescue through CAP during high school until I joined the Navy and was caught up in other things. I have had a recent desire to get back into the outdoors and being prepared and passing that mentality onto my kids.

I don't have a recent picture at the moment because apparently my image doesn't react well with cameras right now.

Greetings All.

Name: I don't give that out on the web. You can call me Grim.
Age 48
Hometown: Seattle (Burien) I see on the map one of you guys is up in Gregory Heights. I used to live up there.
Interests: PC Games, Paintball (though I don't play nearly as much as I'd like to) Mild interest in many things, not hardcore about anything.
Bio: Lifelong resident of the So Seattle / Seatac area. Self employed network infrastructure specialist (I do the dirty work for the IT guys). Semi retired.

I really have very few pictures of myself though I do have a good one of me in my Paintball gear floating around. If I find it I'll see if one of the mods will let me add it to my bio as I'm sure it will be too late to edit it by then, I assume there is a time limit on editing posts.

Name: Classified (Available Offline)
Age: 28
Residence: Soon to be Dupont, WA but was born and raised in Alaska
Occupation: Umbrella Safety Officer (fictional)
Interests: Firearms, fishing, videogames, zombies, history, leather working/ usable art, camping, fitness and the list goes on...

Bio:
Prior service Air Force sheet metal aircraft mechanic and PTL (physical training leader), acquired metal parts in leg after car accident so you could consider me slightly bionic. Married to an Army man. While not a "gun nut" per se, I do enjoy going out to the range on occasion to fire a few rounds. I've traveled across the world and lived in Alaska, Japan, and Italy to name a few. Growing up in Alaska has given me quite the bit of survival knowledge such as making shelters, catching and preserving food, and slightly above basic first aide (the military also helped with some first aide knowledge).

On the lighter side I enjoy videogames such as Fallout 3, Resident Evil and CoD. I'm an Umbrella Corporation nut and sided with the Empire in Star Wars. I work at Renaissance faires across the northwest. I am an open geek in dialogue and at the appropriate function, such as a zombie walk (in OKC I was a zombie scout trooper).

Hope to make the next meeting and maybe I'll see some of you out at Red White and Dead

Name:Keith
Age:33 going on 25
Location: Somewhere around Spokane

Bio: Third Generation Diesel mechanic that joined became and Infantry soldier at 18 so that he wouldnt become a mechanic. Three years later, he was. At 25 I did the LE thing through an agency located on the West Coast (I wont name it because my name comes up under all my court cases). My wife didn't like the asshole that I became with a badge (for the record, I was perfectly okay with myself), so I went back to turning wrenches.

I enjoy any outdoors activity, and shoot Practical Pistol and 3-gun matches for fun. I was fairly active in Texas with the BSA, and hope to be again soon. I keep myself in decent physical condition, mostly so that I can deal with these cocky teenage kids in Boy Scouts. There is nothing better then having some kid call you old and washed up just before you out perform him physically.

I have moved around the country quite a bit, but feel like I have found a home in Eastern Washington. Lets just hope that I can get settled and stay a long while.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Name: PERSEC

Age:37

Location: Yakima County

BIO: I grew up in central Washington on a ranch. Hunting, fishing, camping etc was normal activities. I served 8 years in the Military.

After all that, I went to school and became a Gunsmith. I lived in Arizona for several years and worked for great companies like Robar and AWC. After that, I moved back home and still do 'smithing on the side but my bill-paying job is a Machinist.

I'm also a prepper and enjoy aspects of prepping and such. I'm also an active firearms instructor, primarily pistol and carbine, but occasionally shotgun, and have another instructor who is a sniper/countersniper instructor, so we can do that as well. We train for fun and to pass on the skills...not for money. In fact, the last two classes we did.....were for free.

I also enjoy working on the jeep and taking it to the hills. I'm also an Amateur Radio Operator, earning my General ticket several years ago. I enjoy the hobby and the practicality of it as well. I have a couple modern HF rigs, as well as several old-school tube radios that were handed down to me by my grandfather. Often i can be found working the bands on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I'm also a diver. I earned my Divemaster rating while I lived in Arizona, of all places. I enjoy diving here in the PNW and was in the water just yesterday in fact. Almost limited on crab!

Thanks for the bandwidth to allow me to introduce myself.

Morning....

Name: Doc aka Will

Occupation: Retard Control Tech (EMS)

Interests: Shooting, Prepping, Backpacking with the "6" and the crumbcrunchers, Playing with amateur radio, MVA's with prolonged extrication, and puppies.

I met the spousal unit (Doc 6) in the Army. She may not be qualified on a ma duce, but she can carry a saw all day long.

I went places once upon a time, I thought Sarajevo was 100 times worse than Iraq could ever be. Iraq was bad, but not like that. I think my experiences in Bosnia started my prepper mentality,

Name: Lets just stick with Nomad for now
Occupation: Remote area medicine
Location; Probably at work which mean anywhere in the world, most likely stuck on some frigg'n boat
Home Base: SW Washington along the I-5 for now. "Foresee a move to somewhere closer to the ocean in the near future." Guess I got THAT right...ZSC-005 is still my chapter (If you'll have me) but I've moved to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates...a whole new world of Zombie potential!

Born and grew up in Alaska. Have lived in Northern CA and CO before moving back to AK and now WA for the last 6 years. I've been into preparedness since I read 'The Stand' over a long weekend at age 12 (wow, that was 20+ years ago  ). Kinda put me on the life path I've followed.

Did the Army thing (91B Medical Specialist) stayed in REMF status working in a ER for my whole enlistment. Learned a bunch, ran 911 in a busy system for a few yeas in Denver, moved to Alaska to fly evacs. Did 2 years as armed security/medical at a remote pumping station 20 miles north of the Arctic Circle before moving to SE Alaska to start up a medevac program there. In '05 moved to the current house and started working internationally as the sole medical provider aboard vessels worldwide.

Looking to network a bit with the folks here and swap skills a bit.

Oh, and I'm not so into teh undead thing, more worried about what the living will do but hey, what's the saying, If your ready for zombies, your ready for anything.
