The Extra's really just for bragging rights; you don't get many more privs. I went ahead and did mine right after the General because I figured if I didn't I'd forget a bunch of stuff before I got around to it, but you're really not missing out if you skip it.

I only upgraded to Extra so I wouldn't have to worry about where I could transmit in SSB phone, but now that I cruise around the phone portions of the various bands, the Extra only portions tend to be a little dead.
Congrats on the upgrade though!
