Here from Maylene..... Just south of Birmingham around the Alabaster area.....

Is there enough interest yet to form our own chapter yet?

Though I've been inactive for a couple weeks, I've been meaning to post some things on here, but they can wait till daylight.

BhmJeep, according to google you're within 1.5 hours of me, just as a side note.

As I said before, I am all for starting and Alabama chapter, as I believe it would be good to found a basis and recruit more people. How do we need to go about starting this chapter?

The sheer fact that you know what Aney's 4way is brings me immense joy. I live 1/2 mile south, on Pendix Rd. Don't know if you've been through there in the past few years but we've gained a Dollar General, a new Aney's station across the road from the original, and in the formerly new car wash at that gas station, there is now a liquor store. Pride and joy of Marlow.

I live between Loxley and Belforest and I work at the county electric co-op so I know your area pretty well.

One of the funniest things I ever saw was in Marlow. It was about the third day after hurricane Ivan had hit and we were working near your road putting the powerlines back up on Co. Rd. 9.

This guy comes driving by us and we noticed that his truck had a big dent in the roof where a tree limb had fallen on it during the storm and his windshield and back glass were broken out.

The guy (I think he was the assistant Chief of the Marlow VFD) was driving around having to wear a scuba mask and a snorkel to keep the lovebugs from getting in his eyes and mouth!

We saw him several more times that week and he would always give us a "big thumbs" up as he drove by.

I'm actually on the fire department, but I wasn't during Ivan, too young at the time. I don't know who that is but I have a few mental suspects. That is Marlow for ya though. Well, I will be home the weekend of Mardi Gras, we should try and put something together, or over the summer at least.

Dave, you're rather close to me. I'm back in Baldwin County for the summer now, going to Auburn for my sister's graduation tomorrow though. It feels good to be home.

Goddamn those bugs!
Every cloud has a silver lining. Except the mushroom-shaped ones which have a lining of Iridium and Strontium-90.

I just read that instead of using a de-greaser and a sponge, use regular car wash soap and laundry dryer sheets on your vehicle.

Hope you and yours got through ok.

Jacquie's in an apartment right now while I stay in AR with Zoe and the dawgs. As soon as we either sell the house or buy one in Bama, we'll be completing the move.

Sorry I am late to the discussion, but I currently live in Foley. Depending on any job offers, I will be staying in these parts for a few years. So thats at least 3 people in this area? I have a friend I could talk to and see if he would join this whole "thing"... Anyways, just saying "hey".
