What about a crowbar?

For those who live in areas where firearms are not an option and those that are smart enough to have a back up.

What about a crowbar?

It's solid metal, and very strong. I never seen one break. It gives a nice swing, and has a pointy end. The curve can even be used to stop and 'scoop up' enemy attacks, or as a stump end to bash someones head in. Because of it's slim design, it doesn't weight as much as most decent and strong weapons it's size, and it can be catrried in combination with a backup.

I'm fairly certain that this might hve been covered before. Definately hot though. I plan to be carrying one. Easy to use, light weight and strong. Perfect for breaking open doors, windows and skulls.

Yup, this has been covered quite extensively. Please use the search option. But I like that it's green.

Here's a post of mine from almost 2 years ago:

There are a number of crowbar threads but I haven't seen one in a while.

A few more older ones:

Thanks, I already searched for it myself, but I didn't find these ones. I especially like the part about titanium acting less like a metal and more like a ceramic than steel, harder to bend and therefor easier to break... It could be usefull knowledge... :)

Kyle, change that green faced avatar. I hate it. Who else hates it? Not that I'm racist against green people, but damn man, it's freaky.

But it's J.R. "Bob" Dobbs, turned into a zombie!

I like it.

Also, crowbars are hot, but my melee weapon (other than a knife) is going to be a Gerber sport axe: lighter, and more useful as a tool in a survival situation. I would be loathe to go with it up against a guy weilding a crowbar, though.

A knife is not a weapon, it's a tool. You'll need it hard enough without stabbing it in peoples backs :)

I was tinking. If you'dd add a block of weigth to the end of a crowbar, it would also make a nice hammer and a club. The weigth has to be inside the hook at the end with a flat hammeringside on the lowest part of the hook. Would that make it a better tool? (if I find a way to make a thing like that...)
