That's the latest pic from it. And all the pics to kyle's webspace 404 now. I never saw the original stuff, or jamoni's jeep. All I've seen is the pickup and this van.

Im planning on doing something similar. Really excited to see how this turns out! I'm thinking of building something to advertise our chapter at events though.
I like the sci-fi look along with the rusty look. Probably lots of work though, and not very practical.

Since the tire/wheel combo that came with the Rhino was such terrible garbage I trolled around on Craigslist some more, and found a set of white spoked welded heavy-duty steel wheels, with 33x12.5 truck tires on them for $90.

There's only about 25-30% tread left, but I was mostly interested in the wheels themselves actually.

Once they're cleaned up I'll hit 'em with some flat black epoxy to cover up the nasty white bread color that they are now.

I had a neighbor put one of the new tires on the Rhino for me(my legs wouldn't let me do it) for a test-fit, and we had to trim some of the fender sheet-metal away because of rubbing issues.

It rubs just a bit on the inside also so I ordered a set of four bolt-on 2" aluminum wheel adapters that should give me a little extra right-hand turning room. The set I bought are hub-centric so I shouldn't have any problems with sheared wheel studs.

I also have talked to a local guy about welding some running boards up for me. He'll build them to my specs, and I'll be there watching as he puts them on the rig so I'll know its done right the first time.

I stressed that I wanted them overbuilt so they wouldn't break when I least expect it.

Tires/adapters first, then running boards... then I'll sell a kidney for anything else that comes up.

I think you have to have the six-knobby wheel look outside, and the shag carpet love machine inside. It would kind of be like a mullet - business outside, party inside!

I'm seeing some long-repressed vehicular desires in this thread that CLEARLY ain't mine!

I would like to eventually design something that has a long interior wall commercial storage/shelving unit bolted to the structural ribs. This would be on the drivers side of the Rhino.

If I could ever find one cheap enough on Craigslist, I like to find something like a Weather Guard floor drawer unit also for more food/tool/supply storage in the back.

On the passenger side of the van I'd like to construct a very small kitchen unit using a propane-powered Camp Chef twin burner stove/oven with outside venting, a small propane-powered fridge, and a sink.

I'd put a marine plywood decked sleeping platform(removable) on the floor drawer unit, and put an air bed inside it.

This is going to be a long-term project, and will be done in dribs and drabs when money allows and ideas change.

My adapters arrived, and after I got some help today we got the Rhino jacked up with the Hi-Lift and one of 'em bolted on.

Thankfully I won't have to cut my wheel studs down because that would have been a chore.

I did have to buy 32 new lugnuts though, because the adapters studs are longer than my old lugnuts.

Tomorrow, we'll finish tightening up the first wheel, drop the rig, and then I'll break out the Sawzall to trim the fender metal to give me some more outside turning space.

Then repeat the cleaning, painting, and installing for the other three wheels when my energy permits. It sucks to be in shitty health, but I'm lucky that I have a couple of helpful neighbors who are friendly with us.

If you can, try to find some server rails (for big honking rackmount servers). They're freakishly strong and pretty long, too. You could use them to build your own drawer unit.
