I've got one of those, I think. That's the folding shovel GI thing, right? That's what I was going to use as the shovel, but now I'll use a regular one for that and that thing for this. If that made any sense. Also, mine is a GI one from the army surplus store, not a spetsnaz, if anyone cares.

Alright, thought of some more:
Radial saw blade
claw hammer ("hammer" end and "claw end", please)
hub cap
meat tenderizer
candlestick
nail gun (point blank range)

Not gonna wreck a saw blade, might have trouble getting a hubcap off, but okay. How would I hold it to bash with? Don't know if I have a meat tenderizer, the only candlesticks my family owns are ceramic or heirlooms so no, I don't think I have a nailgun.

First, thanks for the tip on health food stores having the unscored coconuts.

Second, the meat tenderizer might be a redundant test of the hammer anyway.

And hubcap? :?

It was off the top of my head man.

Sort of like this:

chunk of cement (redundant with the brick, I know, but I want to see if it'll hold up)
metal box (Like an ammo can?)

You should try curb-stomping a coconut.

Basically, it's using the hard cement edge of a curb as a pointed anvil when you stomp on someone's head to deliver a killing blow. It is traditionally a gang member/skinhead tactic for messing someone up really badly, and in its most sinister incarnation, the victim is forced to open their mouth and "bite the curb" when the back of their head is stomped on. For a demonstration, see the scene in American History X.

Against zombies, of course, it would consist more of pinning, disabling, or knocking down a zombie against the curb (or having one or more friends hold it there) and then stomp on the skull to destroy the brain. The key is that the edge of the curb will magnify the force that your boot is putting on the opposite side of the skull, driving itself into the skull like a wedge.

You'll have to prop the coconut up against the edge of the curb, because it's not connected to a neck and torso; against a zombie, you would just lay their head on the curb like a pillow; their body would keep it more or less in place. Depending on how much it was thrashing.

.22LR. Now, I know you said you don't have a gun and can't get one, but can you find someone who will let you borrow one? If soemone would do this, it might settle the retarded ".22 can't pierce a skull reliably" debates that used to go on in the Firearms forums.

I can answer that one. My uncle found that FMJ .22 cartridges will go in one end of the coconut and out the other, at least at 5-10 yards.

The trouble is this was a carefully aimed shot, etc. plus bone is tougher than coconut husk.

.22 LR could definitely do it, but it's got to hit more or less perpendicular to the surface of the skull I'd think. I think if the first slug didn't go through the second or third one definitely would.

That's one way to do it. If you really want to crack a zombie skull, though, you lay the zombie's head against the curb (not 2 feet above it) so when you stomp it, it's acting as a stationary anvil, and the heel of your boot acts as the hammer.

That video was messed up, dude.

Backyard wrestling is awesome.

All right, it just snowed a metric fuckload here, so no testing for now, as I don't want to go out and be cold and try not to get wet, since it will undoubtedly go away by tomorrow. Also, the stupid banks are closed for some reason, so I can't cash my paycheck yet to buy coconuts. So, maybe tomorrow.
