My newest version of the belt I call the deck belt, with some recent advice from customers , the deck belt is looking pretty solid now.

Two layer of parachute harness webbing with a third layer inbetween the two, bonded with industrial glue and then double stitiched with #138 type F nylon bonded thread(24 lb tensile strength)

For the time being I am going to keep the old price of 22.00 but eventually I when released on ebay they will be a little more.

Regarding these new "deck belts", do you run them i all colors?

I'd like one in Coyote, with a black buckle.

thank you everyone, I have changed the original design of the "deck belt" by stiffening it up, I have continued to make and sell them to a lot of the IDPA shooters looking for a step up from the 5.11 belts and others out there.
Ofcourse they are gaining popularity with CCW people as well. Because of the stiffness, it doesnt roll under the weight. I have estimated that the "deck belt" which I have now been calling the V ring shooters belt takes about ten pounds of force to begin to roll the edge of the belt.

thank you
kary

if anyone is thinking of getting a dark brown belt from me, order now because the color is going to be discontinued, I have been purchasing all that I can find from my different resources.

And a lot of the military colors are going to be phased out as well. Coyote brown, foliage green, and the Marpat brown sound like they will all be going away in the future.

Two questions:
-If I combine this with a rappelling graded locking carabiner and decent enough rope would i be able to rappel down the side of a building?
and -Do you ship to Australia?

25 feet of milspec 1" tubular webbing, $9. Learning how to tie a redundant seat harness, free. Not getting dumped on your head from a very great height because the belt loops on your pants blew out...priceless.

For the record, I really, really want one of these (and I have a legitimate use now -- taking the basic wildland firefighting class next week), but it'll have to wait until next payday.

Happy to help. The team I volunteer with uses a variation with a water knot in place of the two bowlines because it's hard to determine if the bowline is tied correctly with webbing just by looking at it. Let me know if you have any problems -- I'll be away for the next week, but I can always do some explanatory pics if needed when I get back.

What I call the myth of the riggers belt, no government body (military or civillian) doesn't recognize the use of riggers belt as a lifesaving device. My standard smokejumper belt would be very uncomfortable especially as the buckle twist with the force. The materials are strong enough and the stitching strong enough but not something recommended. My cobra riggers belts are a little closer to being more acceptable because they have a dedicated attachement point. But still not recognized by any government body as acceptable. If you read any directions on any of the big sellers like the blackhawk, they aren't really designed for it. I know it has been done , the guys at SOE did and remarked how much it hurt. The big difference between a seat harness and a belt is that the seat harness will return you to an upright position after an upside down fall. Also if you were to turn upside down while using any riggers belts a lifesafety device and you didn't have the belt cinched down enough, it could slip past dropping you on your head. Plus with an actual sit harness being made of more material it distributes the force over more area which would be less likely to cause pressure sores or just pain in general.

I am planning on towing my truck with one of my belts and shooting a youtube video of it, just to demonstrate the strength.

thank you

I have had a roll of type 13 (which is all black)webbing laying around from a prior law enforcement order. Many of you know my original design for the "deck belt" has evolved and is becoming popular with IDPA shooters and hopefully the CCW guys. I believe the price is very competitve with 5.11.

I use my normal technique of two layers of 1 3/4 webbing another layer of narrower webbing sandwiched inbetween to stiffen up the center of the webbing. I also line the fixed bar of the buckle with Type 12 webbing to reduce wear on the webbing that wraps around it. No one I know of is currently doing this features. For adjustability they have 6 inches of adjustment.

Also I have upped my number of stitching passes to 9 , so that the stiffness is increased by compressing the webbing along its length.

At 30.00 plus 5.00 for US shipping and 13.45 for international shipping (11.45 for Canadian), I think it is a good deal.

I have refined my deck belt into the V-ring Shooter's belt ,specially designed for CCW, competitive shooting, or carrying a leg holster. Basically the same technique as I use on the Cobra Belts. A total of three layers of webbing, bonded with glue then sewn with #138 thread which is way over built but they are built to last.

I am of course still building them as a custom order to ensure the best fit.

30.00 plus 5.00 shipping for CONUS, 10.95 for shipping to Canada, and 12.95 for europe.

From top to bottom:

Black with Silver buckle
Foliage Green with black buckle
Coyote Brown with black buckle
Navy Blue with black buckle
OD Green with black buckle
Dark Brown with black buckle(very limited supply)

I just got my Deck/V-ring shooters belt in yesterday, and I abso-freaking-lutely love it! I mean, this thing is absolutley bomb-proof. Very, very, VERY sturdy belt; will be my tac-vest belt, for attaching my drop leg to, since my other belt from Chute (the one layer design) is fine for me for CCWing.

My shooter's belt looks exactly like the Coyote one pictured immediately above.

Great material, super construction, great communication, and great turnaround time; everything was without a doubt a great experience. I would highly recommend the shooter or any of Chute's products to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Wish all transactions were this smooth and worthwhile.

Awesome guy and awesome product. Hands down. Thanks Kary!

That would be because it is yours, I was going to email you today to see if you received it yet. I sent out a huge batch at the same time and most are starting to arrive.

Thank you for your kind words, I am very glad you like it, that design has been evolving for awhile, the foliage green one in the photo is mine and I am digging it.

thank you again

Dammit Kary, I already own 4 of your belts(the awesome continues btw), and now you have a slick/thick new gun belt too?!

I'll have to buy another gun just to justify buying another great belt. I can't recommend these belts enough, they are a very high value!

Thanks guys I am glad the belts are still serving you both well. I am finally going to build myself a cobra gun belt today , all black webbing with a foliage green buckle(which look grey). I will post some photos when I am done.

The military has some upcoming changes with their colors, so I hope it doesn't affect my supply too much the dark brown(civillian color) has already been phased out.

thank you everyone for your contined support

My latest combination this is a black gun belt with a foliage green buckle which actually looks grey. I haven't even made myself a cobra belt and I felt like it was over due.
