It is from BudK! They deal in replicas.

For 39.99 plus shipping, buy a crowbar.

Great, another person stopped from buying a machete or exotic weapon. My stock at Home Depot is sure to go up! :D

Or find a quality one, like the Cold Steel War Hammer for about $15 more. They were made to punch thru metal armor, so a skull crushing or peircing is well within it's damage potential. It's like swinging a big carpenters hammer, rather than a sledge. Takes less skill than a sword or axe. And they look purdy hanging on a wall.

I have a crowbar. But I'd use my machete or one of my axes first.

Yes, I'd go with the Cold Steel one as well. I'm pretty sure that was on the video. They pierced a hole in a car hood with it multiple times. I'm not sure if it was the warhammer or something else, but they used it to bash in the side of a framed out wall, I must say I was impressed.

Where's Ranger0402 when you need him(in Iraq or thereabouts, His real location is CLASSIFIED and you have no need to know). This has the makings of another "Barbarian Club" thread. I totally enjoyed that one!

And another thing, Cold Steel better start paying me for these testimonials. The way I've been shilling for them, it's the least they could do. I'm not greedy, a few dozen items would do.

That was the Battle Mace. Not in the catalog anymore. Ran specials where they were available for $20 in threepacks. Wonder who bought them?

Or buy the Rifle Hawk, langet kit, leather sheets and strips, and the thirty inch handle. Epoxy and screw everything in place. add leather for a grip and reinforce the head.

Practical Hammer. Choke up on the grip for regular jobs. Stretch it out when you need it. Axe blade won't pierce plate the same way, but has other uses. Makes for a more practical battle axe than using the Norse hawk with a thirty inch handle.

I'm pretty much over medieval weapons.

However, the MRL warhammer I own is the best hand weapon I have ever handled.

If I had to go toe to toe with the undead, and I had to pick one handweapon, it would be a warhammer.

I am with you Clear Cut. As much of Cold Steel's products that I own, they should at least send me a catalog...Oh wait, they do!

I have one of their warhammers. Viscious. I don't think anyone is making a better one for the money. I am glad I got one of the maces a well, since they don't seem to be making those anymore.

Yes, the Cold Steel warhammer will go through a car hood. I have done it. I used the smashed up hood of my car (due to an accident and I had to replace it) for some testing and have to say the Cold Steel war hammer was in a class by itself.

As far as a practical weapon, It may be if properly used. Against the undead, a baseball bat would work as well. A shotgun would be better yet.

Not sure if they still have it for sale or not.

Go to Museum Replicas website.

The only thing I would caution you on is that most of their stuff is handmade. The skill of those makers seemed to vary greatly. I used to live in Atlanta, and would drive up to their showroom and annoy the workers by making them pull out 10 or so of each piece, so I could pick the best.

I'm not comfortable with a crowbar. I don't see how it's an effective weapon. (sorry Mr. Freemen, Whateverfloats your boat.)

Perhaps use it like a club? Sure, it isn't a ninja weapon... but I'd think the use of two feet of steel as a weapon would be self evident...

No doubt. Just try walking around with one slung over your shoulder. Or a baseball bat. At least with a CS War hammer or long Rifle hawk, it can be spattered with drops of various paints and grease, slipped into a well worn carpenter's belt with a few other tools and passed off as a regular wood handled roofing hammer. Same problem with a crowbar. Post PAW, who cares? But right now, it's more like 4 to 5 pounds bouncing against your leg.
