So, what are your plans for Field Day this year, if any?

I'll be out with the Rappahannock Valley ARC at Curtis Park (a few miles west of I-95 just off Rt. 17 in Virginia) helping with the GOTA station and our Welcome Center.

I wont have the funds to follow my dream this year... Take a 12w SSB MFJ 40m to the woodz with a simple resonant dipole and do check ins off a gel cell.

I dont have the radio or the gel cell.

I'll bet there's folks out there who'd loan you the gear to do it though. I know I'd be willing to lend you the battery, if I had one small enough. Smallest AGM that I have is 100ah and weighs about 70 lbs.
