I found this little course being offered by Wolf College.
It is on March 24th 10am - 4pm at Cabela's. There is a cost and all see the link below for additional detail.

Can you imagine that after just one day of training, you could become well versed on wilderness survival and all the wild plants you absolutely need to know, or become the best expert on fire making and fire tending in your family and neighborhood? Who do you know that can light a campfire in the cold, using all-natural materials from a wet environment? Maybe a couple people. Who can start a fire without a lighter, matches, or anything from the store? By the end of the day, the answer will probably be you!

The below link has all the class info. You may recognize a ZS member on the page.

I have been to several of their classes and there is always good information and a good time to be had. Hope to see other ZS members there.

This was a pretty neat little class. Met some great people and learned a thing or to. Very helpful to those who are not native to Washington.

The course covered.
I found the order of survival interesting. I very much liked the minimalist approach. Knowledge weighs nothing.

Cordage making, I found this very cool. Learning what plants make the best cordage, how to splice in, and make the cordage stronger. Very useful.

Talked about PNW edible plants and their medicinal uses as well. How to prepare them, what to look out for, and some things to avoid.

Talked about fire starting techniques, types of fires, how to build a fire in the rain. Great hands on.

Went over construction of shelters and little bit into traps.

Trying to do all the hands on activities as a team proved very interesting.
