I never enjoyed Ramen Noodle soup so I would always drain the water and add butter and then the season packet. I then started to add can mushrooms to the mixture. Then one camping trip the guys I was with picked up a frozen pot roast. They were going to boil this large piece of meat over the fire (for hours i think). I talked them into allowing me to cut the meat into small pieces I then fried over the fire with some ranch dressing with the ramen season packets in with the meat and mushrooms. After the Meat was done I boiled the noodles and poured the mix over the noodles. It was a good meal. This can be done with chicken, or cream mushroom soup.

I still like bacon wrapped boneless chicken breast in foil pockets. Season the chicken to taste(I like a little garlic and some onion flakes and a dash of mrs. Dash season salt or instea of previous seasonings try a little brown sugar with a smidgen of cinnamon) Cook it above the coals, so as not to burn the bacon or the chicken.

But you can never go wrong with beer brats cooked on a grate above the coals. My wife aurally makes her infamous not pasta salad, pasta salad, or some potato salad before leaving home.

Mags wrote:Slice a banana lengthwise (not all the way to the top or bottom,) and open the slit peel like a pita sort of. Slather on a knife full of peanut butter (the glue that holds the other items on,) lengthwise inside the peel on the banana. Pour a small handful of both mini-marshmallows and chocolate chips in the peel so they stick to the peanut butter. Wrap with foil and roast for a few minutes on the coals. It's eaten right out of the foil and peel like a boat. No fuss, no muss. Mmm mmm good!

We call 'em banana boats and they are my favorite campfire treat. Never tried them with peanut butter before though. YUM!

If you're roasting meat or potatoes or, well, anything - throw a head of garlic into a piece of tin foil with a little oil. Throw it near the fire while the meat cooks and viola - roasted garlic whatever it is. Just remember to keep turning it so it doesn't burn. When it's squishy, it's ready.

i have a recipe I have tried recently. its a great dish, easy and delicious.

First make the sauce.
1 cup Ketchup
1 cup Karo dark corn syrup
1/4 cup honey
1/4 - 1/2 cup of onion (your preference)
1/16 cup ( half way to 1/8 cup) Worcestershire sauce
3 diced garlic cloves
1/4 cup of Texas Pete hot sauce (that's the brand I use)
1 cup of light brown sugar

Bring it to a gentle summer, reduce heat enough to keep it simmering for about 20-30 minutes to get all the flavors to combine perfectly.

Take some boneless skinless chicken breast and cook it over coals or a charcoal grill with charcoal and some wood chips ( I like the jack Daniels wood chips) in it.

Cook for about 10 minutes, then after you flip them, coat the top with sauce. After 10 minutes flip to coat the other side with more sauce. Cook for about 3 more minutes, remove and serve. Left over sauce put into a bowl for dipping sauce. Enjoy!
