Anyone interested in a Mk 48 LVS front power unit as the foundation for an awesome BOV? There's a bunch up for auction in Barstow.

I have visions of articulated land trains rolling across the plains, diesels snorting black smoke in to a crystal blue sky as mounted scouts range ahead and hollow eyed children stare out at a world tuned upside down from beneath tattered, patched canvas. I wonder if I can fit one in my driveway? :awesome:

Man, I love this fucked up place. My kind of whack-jobs, ya know?

If your driveway is too small, just drive it back and forth a bit. Anything that doesn't move will soon resemble gravel...

You just need a bigger garage. What they can't see they can't cite you for.

Not like they have search warrant powers.

But the comically cut-out silhouette of the turret in the garage door might be a give-away.

More of 'em for sale, and these have trailers designed to hold a standard shipping container. Shipping containers can be made quite comfy!

That would be wicked! Just fab up a plow to gard the front from impact from cars, hords of zombies or other debree. Also 50s are rilly easy to take down and put up rilly quickly. But a 50cal is unnessary for Zeds, a living hord maby, but an un-dead hord its un-nessary. Also once ammo is expended, where you gona go to get more? Just use a M240. They use 7.62 rounds and are much more accurate. Or get a stand for dual AR-15s w/ bump stocks to simulate fullauto. If you use the .22 AR-15s, the ammo is everywhere in larg abundance. If you shoot, you would usualy be at close range anyway, approx 0-300 feet.

Its legal to have and play with for the person on a budget. I do know that its not illegal to own a fullauto gun, it just RILLY expensive. Although, in a Post Apocalyptic event, no-one will care if somthing is illegal or not.

I'm sensing that some people could spend more time lurking. It couldn't hurt.

Bump stocks like the Slide Fire arent illegal at all. Hell, you can buy them at Academy now.

They're just a bad idea.

Where? I'm not used to web fourms having spell check.

But back on topic. To me I would only want Semi-auto, Full-auto and simulated Full-auto is just a waist of bullets. Its fun to shoot Full-auto and it would only be usefull if you are screwed anyway or as a threat deturent. But if your rilly effencent with a Semi-auto, you can usualy simulate Full-auto without a bump stock. You would also have a much more controlable rate of fire. 3 round burst is as close as I would want to get to Full-auto, unless it was with a Browning 50cal.
