I have a 2005 xterra and love it. She has had a few problems such as the blower motor that pushes heat into the cabin quitting when it was 30 below. But everything else was covered by Nissan.

Did you get the six speed or auto? people are always amazed how fast an xterra is with manual trans.

Where did u get those? That's a great idea. I was thinking of mounting an aluminum frame to those and mounting a flat piece of plywood. Across the top. Ill draw a pic and take a picture. Those would work really well tho. Thanxs.

That's why I suggested the Raingler Net, it will definitely restrain your pet, without breakage, or possible impalement. That other barrier creates a hazard to both you and your pet. Just lookin out for you and your pet. (Pet mostly. LOL)

[url=http://s250.photobucket.com/albums/gg246/bluesquid_photobuckethats great. I wish we had snow like that all winter. I have heard on some YouTube videos that they suck in snow. From what I be seen its. People with no idea how to drive in deep snow. My question for you is what are your experiences.

We get a ton of snow most winters. We probably had a record amount last year. i luuuve driving in it.

I have a ton of experience driving in it, living up here in NY most my driving life. The x is great for snow in most regards. It will go through deep snow or slush very nicely. It will climb snow covered hills easily. The only place it suffers, is driving at speed on slightly snowy roads or when you encounter ice. Thats all cars for the most part but the x as you know, has such a high center of gravity.

I had a 96 pathfinder before my X. Was great in the snow in every way. If you started to lose control, it was very easy to recover. You cant "feel" the x in snow quite as well as many cars. Some say that adding skid plates to the bottom helps to give you that added stability. Lowering the center of gravity. I might try it.

So, you just have to be careful when mixing speed and slick. If your X "goes" it might not come back. Having said that I have never had it "go', but Im careful. If your careful you can do anything with it. A couple of years ago, right before x mas, I drove from my town to Syracuse during a snow storm. The snow was about 2 feet deep on the road. i couldnt see the road, nor get my bearings. i experienced vertigo a number of times. Sometimes its featureless outside in the dark, and its snowing so hard you lose sense of direction. very scary. i just took my time and found my way. The X was awesome.
