She was up and running until I removed her radiator. Have two engines, but one's cracked (the original, w/matching numbers) and the other has a knock in cylinders 5 or 6. That's why I blew off the tin, cause I'm gonna be getting very intimate with the engine that's in there.

Thanks! You obviously haven't seen the wiring, redone by 4 different owners. Gonna be redone once and right by me, after I get done with the engine work.

I have a friend that restores old cars, you want to talk to him? I sure he can give you tips or pointers. He does it for a living.

Thanks, but I'm kinda doin this as a "I can do this all on my own" type deal. I've got the original wiring info, and I'm planning on getting an appropriately colored harness and just redoing all the connections. I may need the help of your friend at some point tho, and I'll keep it in mind.

Dang, i hate rewiring!

On one of my old cars one of the previous owners did re-wire it. Worked fine for a while but then the car wouldn´t go out when you "turned it off" and took out the key....! That´s when i noticed he did all his re-wiring with brown wires. Yep. All of it.

He could have used BLUE WIRE at least, dammit!

Already started on mine... You know what the fuel pump was wired to?
Not the ignition.
Not the coil.

The radio. If the radio was turned off, it died. Also why I'm setting up with a mechanical fuel pump.

And the next owner is going to say, "You haven't seen the wiring, redone by 5 different owners! I'm gonna do it right this time!" :)

Good luck, looks like a fun project.

And he'll do it to VW colors, instead of Mopar colors.

Thanks, I think I'll need it. Just gotta get word on the engine being saveable or not, then gonna go from there.

Nope. Tried to get out a mass of bondo by heating the metal from the other side with a weed burner.

Only Because I can't drive (anything other than a tractor). And yes, I like a lot of pics of a cool old car on at the end of a hard day slaving over a hot autotitrator.

So you like seeing mechanical complexity/simplicity after dealing with chemical complexity?

What about that FC in the back.. a 150 or 170?
