My bugout vehicles- 1998 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab. 3.0L Vulcan V6, 5-speed manual, rear wheel drive. 31x10.50x15 Nexen Roadian MT tires. Poweraid throttle body spacer, MBRP Shorty Offroad Pro catback exhaust, K&N billet air filter adapter, two high mount Hella light mounts(I live in the ghetto so I don't keep them mounted 24/7), Delta toolbox, upgraded to LED reverse/interior/backup lamps, and a custom made prerunner style spare carrier. PROS: tough as nails reliable, vey rugged construction, lots of cargo space, relatively light, low center of gravity(not lifted), lots of torque. CONS: loud, low acceleration, no front bumper, attention grabbing, room for 3 people realistically(has jump seats in he back of the cab, but vey small). This is my own personal daily driver and bugout truck. I also have a 1997 Honda Accord Wagon(pretty rare), 2.2L F22B1 VTEC 4 cylinder, 4-speed automatic FWD. Upgraded P/S cooler(10x12"), directional Falken tires, new T-belt, roof rack. PROS: quick, quiet, inconspicuous, lots of cargo space, can sleep in it if need be, dark windows. CONS: low ground clearance, only fwd. My wide drives the Honda. I will post pictures soon.

New (to me) and free(!!!) 2001 F250 4x4 4wd, 7.3L Turbodiesel with a whopping 127k miles. Brand new BFG AT's to boot.
Image

This is a day prior to me taking possession. Nothing leaks and everything works. It is an inheritance. I think I'll keep it and get rid of my car payment.

She was bought new in 2001 and baby'd. Never towed a trailer or heavy loads.

This has nearly everything we need as it sits. There's always room for improvement. But it's got grunt, room, and it's 3/4 ton.

Truck bed trailer project, This will carry my Truck Camper most of the time. This is the third truck bed trailer I have built up. This one I think I will keep!!
It is an 8 ft , Ford F250 bed from the early 70’s. It has a big ¾ ton trailer axle under it, not the original truck 9” rear end. Since it has been sitting in a field for the last 20 years, I Pulled the wheels and checked the bearings, they look fine and were well packed with grease. The wheels are, 8 bolt 16” that match my truck! I replaced all the rotted trailer tires with new 245/65/16 AT ‘E’ rated tires that also match the ones on my truck. Pulled the Truck Camper out of the bed of my truck and transferred it to the trailer. I took the set up for a test drive in town and on the highway. It pulled much smoother than I expected all the way up to 80-mph. Had the outside of the trailer covered in Rhino Liner. I still have work to do on the floor of the trailer. I also mounted the 2 spare tires and a new the trailer jack to the front of the trailer. I now have 5 spare tires that fit both the truck and the trailer, the truck carries 3 all the time and the trailer has 2 on the front of it now. (the guys at the tire store think I am bit nuts for having 3 spares on the truck and 2 on the trailer but were happy to sell me the tires)

Doesn't look like much, but this 1997, J100 Daihatsu Terios punches way above it's weight. I recently thrashed it in the bush and mud, and it goes places other 4wds won't go. Only mod's so far, LED bar light (low current draw due to the small single battery) and a UHF CB radio. the aerial is a custom mount, as no after market spares are out there.

In the future, beefed up rear springs, and new shocks, a dual battery setup, and chunky mud tyres. Soon it goes in for an engine rebuild. maybe a repaint in the future.

It's a 2007 4runner limited V8. Excellent condition and I got it for a good price with 3 year warranty.

The pic is while getting new shoes - Toyo Open Country AT2's - excellent in all conditions so far. Upgraded to Morimoto HID's and non reflector driving light fog lights with Philips 9012's.

My daughter's contribution...

Finally got my fleet numbers on...

First equipment mod: switched out standard headlamps and backup bulbs for EXTRA BRIGHT/EXTRA WHITE. Also used directions found in another forum for paracord "oh sh*t" handles, front and rear.
NEXT I'm working with powder coated steel gutter mesh to protect the radiator from large bugs, birds, stones.
Then situating the first aid kit(S) and fire extinguishers in my vehicle.

Ok... Bed time for bonzo. I can't keep a coherent thought.
Nighters!

Finally off loaded the Miata. Picked up a 1997 Cherokee Sport. This marks my 3rd Cherokee since I started driving. Got a pile of parts waiting to go on. Not going with a huge lift or anything. Staying at stock height maybe 1 in or 2 in tops.

Image

First thing I did was rip out the cheap aftermarket alarm system and cheap aftermarket power window system. Back to manual cranks and lock please.
