ZS HF QSO on Sun, Nov 25

Postby Doctor Jest » Fri Nov 23, 2007 8:54 am

I got an email from Cromwell letting me know that he is once again able to operate on HF. We are going to try to reach one another on HF on Sunday, November 25th, at 8 PM eastern time. We'll try the 20 meter band, on or around 14.260 MHz.

Anyone with a general class or higher ham license, please join in!!

No luck, Cromwell - I tried calling at 8 PM my time on 14.260. I couldn't hear you if you were there. The entire 20 m band sounded dead except for one or two guys banging out kilowatts. We made need to try 40 meters instead, since it's getting dark a lot earlier than when we spoke last on HF.

Uh, I have to say a big "Mea Culpa" on this one: I was checking PMs rather than postings, so I didn't catch this thread. Therefore, I wasn't on the radio.

One of the things I have discovered about ham radio is that it helps when the person you are attempting to contact is actually at their radio with it turned on!

Sorry!
