Greetings all-

Lessons learned from the Bail-aa-ggeddon,
1) a couple of girls in shorts and flip flops are more hard core than a group of preppers in bad weather.
2) at least one of our group is apparently fireproof and has proved it by standing in the fire.
3) a certain tent of mine is not nearly as drizzle proof as I expected.
4) if yer gonna have a ggeddon, the best way to do it is to have Irish Red on tap!!

Remy, Loki misses you.

I'm so tempted to get those boots, but they're non-returnable if I don't like 'em and my feet are picky. :(

My goal was to drink beer, shoot guns, and hang out with friends, all of which I did successfully on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Really the only thing we missed out of was another night of drinking in the rain, and the IHOP run.

Leave it for the kids next door to put a couple notches on their belt.. I already have a million stories about camping in the rain, the mud, a hurricane, the snow.

In the end just blame Murph. :D

Definitely had a good time! I'm glad I came on Thursday too - it made the weekend pretty awesome. Hopefully next time Murph no-showing won't fuck up the weather again.

I don't know a better way to do it, but you can right-click on the pic, select Copy Image Location, then click the Img button on the forum and paste in between. That should work for fb pics.

BigBossMan - Thanks for the beer and your generosity with your Angus burgers! Thanks to everyone else sharing food as well!

Nykh - I'm still waiting for you to just give me the money for the spatula you ruined so I can buy a better one.

Magnum - I might have to get an Amazon Prime account because you had some awesome stuff :)

Everyone else - Thanks for making this a great trip for Cassia and me! I can't wait to do it again, hopefully in better weather. I'm getting tired of being cold and wet during camping trips.

So fill me in on what happen? Did everyone bounce Saturday night in the thunderstorm?
Does your BOB at least have: water, basic tools, fire, food, first-aid kit, and shelter?

Yes, everyone bounced Saturday evening, due to the impending weather forecast, it was just persistent rain and dropping temps while we we there. The NOAA forecast for the immediate area was ominous.. for later that night.

Oh yeah, thanks for breaking my chair Murph !!! :P

Hey Res it wasn't all from Amazon... But most of it was. I just hate shopping in stores and dealing with lines. Can't wait for the next one... Maybe I should keep the cherries chilled until then? Ha ha

Meanwhile I learned I left my 9mm in my brother in laws truck so I'll have to take a trip to SOMD soon to pick it up. Still need to unpack, yesterday was a wash with all the family at my house

Who was asking about buying 550 cord? Check out http://www.supplycaptain.com for some of the best prices (and most options) that I've found. I need to buy some myself.

The cup that you thought was yours that you gave to me, may be yours after all. I haven't found mine yet but I haven't had time to look for it either, don't worry it will get back to where it is supposed to be !!
