I live in Lees Summit, and that's actually where the donations were dropped off. We're trying to keep the meetings moving around in different parts of KC so there will be meetings down in south KC/Lees Summit/etc. Would you be able to make it to any of those?

anything on this side of town, i can usually make it in after 9pm.. i dont expect people to wait around for me to get things going.

I'm way new to the site and didn't know (but was hoping!) anyone was starting a chapter here(I'm in indep) but I don't understand what happened... no one has posted on this in awhile and it looks like all the FB pages got deleted... I'm very interested! & at least three of my friends are as well.

Checked out the FB page, good stuff. Will follow up to the Aug meeting post. Pretty much home playing COD MW3 after work everyday so plenty of time to partake but since it's cooling down, may start cycling again soon.

P.S. Looking to get my first AR-15 - anyone with experience that can assist a noob out? Also, been doing some boat fishing out at BS, Jacomo, Longview Lakes (I rent) so if anyone's interested, totally welcome to partake (Haven't any luck due to the heat but still fun). Anyone interested in meet up at the Gun Show this month?

Kosmos, have you found the chapter 34 subforum yet? That would be a great place to post all of that. Plenty of people in our chapter that can get you squared away on an AR.

Thanks for the welcome sveach. I don't live far from where you work (my Google Fiberhood is Rosedale Arch).

I went by the market after work and everything is 30% off with the exception of alcohol, fluid dairy, lottery, cigarettes, money orders, etc. This market's prices are higher than at other stores in the area but with 30% and buying the Best Choice and Always Save brands, you can get some good deals. There is a decent amount of cereal, canned veggies, canned fruit, juices, pet food and supplies, jams/jellies, water, soda, canned chili, canned meats, condiments, pickles, flour, sugar, seasonings and salad dressings left in the store. They are low on PB (Jif, peter pan and one other, all with added sugar), paper goods, canned pastas and some other items.

I was the only one who appeared to be stocking up (though there was one guy getting quite a bit of cat litter, which I should have done just for the ice/snow this winter).
