Throwing knives?

Yes or no. This is based on Human fighting needs vs Zombie needs. All i ask is a little opinion. Ill check later rather than sooner.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

Total waste of time. Learning to throw knifes is nothing but an unreliable novelty.

Getting proficent enough in the ability for it to be any use would require years of dedicated training, and then that doesn't mean that you'll be able to do the same parlor trick in a battle situation.

Throwing knives = Worse than Nunchucks.

Skip the throwing part, get a K-BAR and learn to stab upward thru the bottom of the jaw.... save a lot of time and money.

If all you've got is your knife, why the hell would you throw it?

Against humans, throwing your knife can serve as a distraction and hopefully cut someone, but as a knife-throwing hobbyist (hangs head in shame) I gotta say it's not a good idea. Plus you've got to be ready for the possibility that you'll now have to incapacitate your opponent barehanded, or run and retrieve your knife -- That is, IF he doesn't get it first.

Against zombies, the idea is even worse. Don't carry around your bracer of throwing knives unless it's just to preform sticks out of boredom.
If you drop a zombie, does that count as a kill?

...Think about it.

While better then nothing, throwing knives just dont have the stopping power, not only that, but they require a wank-load of practice. Even I, with my uber-fied knife throwing awsomeness, wouldn't think of them as anything more then a novelty item (albeit, a sharp novelty item of pain)
I blame lag for all my problems

I just ordered a set of $5 ones from Cheaper Than Dirt because I thought it would be fun to throw them around, but I would seriously recommend against using them in a real fight based on what I've heard.

If you want to throw something then start throwing axes. This works better that knives because axe weights a lot more so it packs more punch .But still i would recomend to stay off throwing 8except grenades and molotov's)
