well they are +1 up on frost cutlery, and most of their "swords" are just for show

where as Swordstore.com/Nosyuiaido International, has only been corporate for a few years, BUT the clan of sword smiths has been around for 800+ years. in fact one of the smiths is a direct descendant masamune? the greatest swordsmith who ever lived

They make +1 frost swords?! I want one! If only it were holy, it would be all I need!

But seriously folks, I can barely read what you just said. What?

If you want a half useable katana at a reasonable price, look for a Paul Chen Practical katana. Reasonably priced for a "real" katana at something like $400 (I think, it could be a bit more). At least it won't bend around the first zombie you swing it at.

Katana

Postby isotek » Fri Dec 17, 2004 12:20 am

as far as katanas go, i would buy paul chen over just about anything, unless im looking to spend several thousand for a decent sword, im a big fan of the paul chen stick katana, runs about 70$ from several online retailers and the blade comes quite sharp, its a hand forged diferentally tempered high carbon steel blade, holds a good edge, as well as cuts... cuts.. cuts...

Smersh, I've owned several cold steel products, and they've all doen pretty well for me. My current field knife is a Cold Steel Bushmaster, and it takes and keeps a fine edge. I've used it to clear brush, chop firewood, cut giftwrap ( :) ) and just about any other chore you can think of. I don't know about their swords, but they cold steel products I've used have been good solid tools. NOT flea market crap.

I'll vouch for Cold Steel products as well. I've had a Bushman and one of their machetes for awhile and they're excellent. You can also make the Bushman into a spear, so that's neat.

http://www.museumreplicas.com they have katanas made from carbon steel. Stainless will not hold an edge and aluminum cant be sharpened so carbon is the only way to fly.....

im sure cold steel can make some good items, that would serve you well, but dont expect the value of their swords to go up as time goes by

musem replicas: nice find ZombieCleaner, some of those maces and hammers look like they could do some serious damage to some zombies
