When it all hits the fan, what is your perfect 3 gun carry (rifle, shotgun, handgun)?

Integrally suppressed AR

Ah love the Benelli, that would be second on my list for the shotgun category

If it's guns I would actually need then my Glock 21 and a 22lr kit, my savage 24 22lr/20 ga and my DCM AR.

3 guns? easy,

1) AK47 with easily found 7.62x39mm rounds and durability
Image

2) I'd go Long range instead of shotgun with a Winchester .308
Image

3) and a 9mm Beretta

AKM.

Glock 19.

Pardner Pump Protector.

Since this is a fantasy. In reality I would most likely only carry the Glock and the AKM, the shotgun would be too much to include along with my gear, and keeping up with three types of ammo would get tiring.

Plus I already own all three of these, so it isn't that much of a fantasy.

I'm a sucker for these threads....

FN P90 USG

Instead of a scattergun, I'd choose a Magnified SCAR 16s

My Sidearm will always be a FiveseveN

I don't pick only FN guns on purpose. I genuinely feel these 3 firearms would serve me better in a PAW scenario.

I have to disagree.

While the 5.7mm is gaining more popularity, it is still in effect a boutique round, meaning that once you use up whatever supply you have, finding new ammo will be next to impossible.

That is just my opinion though, you may have several thousand rounds of ammo stocked. It just isn't for me though.

No matter what caliber you use, thinking you are going to find any ammo in the PAW is silly, dangerous, and far too unreliable. I prepare as if the ammo I have when the PAW starts, is the last ammo I'll ever see.

FYI, not only do I have several thousand rounds stockpiled (including SS197, PenetraTOR, ProtecTOR, and now S4M), I also reload for 5.7x28mm. Where I live, the only stores that don't carry 5.7x28mm but sell ammunition is Wal-Mart and Dicks.

OK. I will play. My AR-15 ( semi auto M4 loan), my Remington 870 Tactical, and my tried and true Glock 22. But honestly I don't think it would be much fun trying tote both long guns around.

Terry's right. That's the only way to play the game. That's why I need to get in to reloading.

My current setup for a 3-gun:
AR-15

Glock 19

Maverick 88

My ideal setup for a 3-gun:
AR-15 (maybe a nicer one)
Glock 19
KSG (just because they're cool  )

Swap out the 1911 in 45 ACP to a 1911 in 10mm and that's basically what I'm carrying.

Agreed. That's why my "dream" setup is based around a bullpup, concealable (backup) SBS and a race gun with numerous upgrades as you will expect much more close quarters combat.

My true setup is a Colt LE6920 and a Para P-14. I simply can't justify bringing a long rifle and a shotgun in almost any scenario. You have to think about mobility and concealability. Besides, it's common knowledge that staying "gray" is likely your best option.

Me too, Here's my 3:
Image
M14/M1A Socom with Picatinny rails and EOTech sight, OD Green/Black
Image
Mossburg 500 Tactical "chainsaw" grip, Picatinny rails, SureFire combat light, Black/Black
Image
1911 .45 ACP skeletonized hammer, 3 hole trigger, Black Palm wood grips, Burnt Bronze/Brushed Aluminum

Granted, most of what I want is to make the guns "look" better but in a PAW situation a door-breaching shotgun is nice, and the knockdown power of the M14 is good because my aim sucks so if I get a lucky hit I want what I hit to go down. The 1911 is a classic, and the best gun I've shot so far, bonus because of the bigger rounds.

I always thought those chainsaw grips were intended a jokes. I've never before actually seen someone who has one.

I'm still not entirely sure, it looks to be used for door breaching but that's all I can tell... I actually don't own a single gun right now (Stupid economy and no job...) but I've shot my fare share, a few close to those guns as well.
Staying on topic:

GAU-8 cannon, so powerful it will stall an A-10 on an attack approach angle with anything more than a quick burst

I'd love to have that GAU-8 somehow mounted on my SUV. It would be oh so useful for dealing with some of the idiots on the road! :D

I believe it would also throw your (relatively, I own an early 90's 4Runner so I'm not trying to talk smack here...) small and wimpy SUV backwards as soon as you pulled the trigger. It would however, be awesome.

Say that this SHTF scenario happens in the next 30 minutes and the WHAT I WOULD WANT TO HAVE wasn't a variable and the What I Do Have was..... (not to sound like a d!ck)

And if we could only choose Shotgun, Rifle and Pistol..... (because I would seriously leave out the shotgun and bring something else):

Mossberg 500 Persuader
RRA AR15
Steyr M9

I have more magazines for the AR and Steyr than anything else I own, so they would be a no-brainer.

My PERFECT 3 gun carry for SHTF I already have: Colt 1991 A1 45, Norinco AK, and my Ruger 10-22 (for small game, gonna have to eat).

If I HAD to choose a handgun, a rifle and a shotgun only there's a Winchester 12 ga. in the locker.

I already have all 3 that I want for a good 3 gun. The only thing that would change would be the addons and toys

Custom AR15 (spikes zombie lower, BCM 16 middy upper, iornsights, magpul moe furnature)

Saiga s-12 (converted with upgraded iorns and 10 round mags)

Springfield milspec 1911 stainless steel

For a rifle I'd take my ar

For handguns I'd have to go wtih my H&K P2000. I have a insight m3 light on it which is not in the pic.

Instead of a shotugn I'd take my ruger super blackhawk 44 mag
