What has it been, four hurricanes (assuming Jeanne becomes one) in 5 weeks?

I think god is trying to tell you something, Florida.
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own...

Ivan are you forgetting that pyjama party we had last summer when we stayed up all night eating Passion Flakies and listening to dashboard confessional until we cried?

I though we were friends forever man! FRIENDS FOREVER!

~Sniff~ Damnit Jonas... can I borrow your poncho?

That being said... If another high category storm hits that will start becomeing an incredibly serious survival situation in the south will it not? It could mean that some people will be isolated for weeks, or even more... that does not bode well. It's not exactly non-serious currently, but man... if it gets worse, then I just wish a whole lot of people good luck...

Everytime I see the news talk about another hurricane I keep expecting the president to blame terroists for the storms. Either that or John Kerry. :D

sorry I just had to say this...
Kenneth: Is everyone there dead?
Steve: Well, dead-ish.
Kenneth: Is everyone there dead?
Steve: Yeah, in the sense that they all sort of, uh... fell down... and then got up... and started eating each other.

bah...I do not fear Jeanne. lol. 1. it's too weak for me to care. 2. about the only way it can hit mobile..is to go through florida...in which case..it'll be even weaker when it gets here. :) And no...we won't be in any state of "crisis"...florida went into a "state of crisis" cause their mayor is a sissy and wanted to draw attention to them. ...cause noone cares at florida. Florida is doing there job...what's that you ask? Acting as a big, long shield from hurricanes which blocks the states farther to the west..I.E. Alabama, Mississippi, Louisianna, and Texas. We get enough hurricanes...but we'd get ALL of them if florida wasn't there. So let them get beat to hell and back...it's what they're there for. State of emergency? bah...if someone lives in florida...and doesn't already know hurricanes are coming and didn't prepare for them..then they didn't do any research..or they are stupid...either way..let them have problems. They'll learn or the gene pool will benefit. If you live in the southeast...you should KNOW that hurricanes aren't possible....they are an inevitability. The question is not IF...but when. :P

All of this reminds me of the Mississippi flood in '94. All of these yahoos were like "Who knew our farm, with it's amazingly rich soil, on this low-lying area about 1/4 mile from the biggest river on the continent, behind these big man-made dikes, was on a FLOOD PLAIN? What do you MEAN we don't have a flood rider on our insurance?" I was living in the sticks and working in the city, and the city people fared FAR worse. The hicks just lived in tent cities for a while.

So I guess Jeanne's coming for us after all...

That those of us living in Florida are cursed?
It is beginning to feel like it. :(

I feel really bad for the Haitains. God, 1000 people dead and 1200 more are missing. I heard that the flood waters were still very high in the streets and decomposing bodies are still just floating in the water.

As if life was not hard enough there already.
