Anybpdy got one of these? They were manufactured from 1908 to 1924(?). I found one that was rebuilt by a gunsmith and I felll in love with it. It seems to be in good mechanical shape and I can't smell any rust on it.**

Is it a good shooter with low brass loads, or is it better suited as a wall hanger?

**Yes. Rust has a smell.

probibly a good field gun. most old shotguns are great pointers and smooth actions

as a PAW/Prep shotgun, id go with something newer.

It was a popular shottie in its day, so I don't think spare parts are an issue.

It's pretty similar to a WInchester 1897; which I'd love to have, but $$$$$$!
