Alright lads, a friend of mine had a can of this coffee, which I tried and quickly fell in love with.

My problem is, I can't find a distributor who ships to the US for this product. In short, I need some help finding this.

I've been to their main site which is in Japanese (of no help) and about 40 other sites to no avail. Whoever provides me w/ a link as to where I can purchase said product online, will receive 1 can of their favorite coffee drink.

Thanks and good hunting.

Canned coffee is big in Japan. I have heard there are as many brands of canned coffee there as there is beer here.

Is this stuff already sweetened w/cream added or is it straight?

I have a friend of mine who has friends in Japan. I will have to ask her if she may know how to get the stuff or a website linking you to them.

I believe it comes in all sorts of forms, from black to various levels of sweetener or cream.

Here's a link to a good blog about this coffee. Unfortunatly, no one on there knows where to find it either :(

In St. Louis, call up at Global Foods on Kirkwood/Lindbergh or Jays International on South Grand. They might carry it.

I'll give them a call. After 4 hours of searching, calling and sending e-mails, I finally found an American in Japan willing to ship to the US :)

Thanks to you guys for your help. I'm ordering an extra case and will send you a can or two if you're interested. I'll let you know when they get in. Thanks again guys.

PS here's the link if you're interested in Japanese items Japanese Snacks Link

The question remains... Are you mixing the coffee with Franzia? And what is with you and not liking beverages in the containers that they are supposed to come in?

The kid I talked to there didn't know what I was talking about. They were on my 'call back tomorrow' list along with about 10 other companies.

Bah, life is all about living. I also turned 43% in a week on an investment so I'll call this a treat from the orient.

Also, I enjoy a good scavenger hunt, this stuff is rare rare outside of the orient, so it made it all the more fun.

I understand your quest. I have a strange addiction to ulitimate chesseburger's from Jack In the Box, and I only get in an area once a year that has them, so I eat them for lunch and dinner for 3 days straight.

By god, Boss Coffee. Sold in every coffee vending machine in Japan. Mmmm.....

Make Kyle bring back a bunch.

To find a local distributor, call Super7 and ask them if they know anyone around there that might. They are the best store for importing kitch from Japan (mostly toys). But they are in middle of Japantown in San Francisco and may have a lead for ya.

when you go to japan, you will be awed and amazed by the sheer quantity of neat, weird, beverages available through vending machines.

I had to walk by no less then 28 beverage vending machines and 6 quickie mart style stores on my 1.5 mile daily walk from the house I stayed at to the train station when I was there.

Oh, and get some Pocari Sweat also. A most disgusting name for a soda that tastes a lot like watered down gatoraid with extra salt. It's more of an experience thing and not actually something you want to drink. :P

Ha, I've tried it and thought it was pretty damn horrible.

No go on your store Dickman, they wouldn't recommend anyone either for some reason.

I sent the few friends I have who are still serving at the Yokosuka Naval base a message, but with any luck I will find someone still living there willing to do me a favor.

I just emailed a company I've dealt with in Japan. I will post their response here as soon as I get it. They have the home base in Japan and a location in San Diego, CA for product shipment. Maybe we'll get lucky.
