 It'll be ok. I'm picking up my new West German p226 built in 1990 tomorrow (unless the gubment gives me another delay). Gonna be my edc if all is well. I'll bring it to class as backup for my funSig. I'll let you fondle it some. I'm trying really hard not to get some bad ass hardwood grips for it. Trying. This is why I send payment early

PM me, I'll give the details for the deposit. Also, let me know if you are attending the one day, two day, or both days.

Thanks...

Started my at home training program last night.

200 reload drills.

200 immediate action drills.

100 right to left transitions.

I plan on doing this every night till class.

Anything else that I can do in my living room?

Just picked up an XDM 525 in 9mm. How many extra mags do I need?

You should have at least three magazines. Six is better. Nine is even better, eleven is much better.... Remember that the magazine is the heart of the pistol; if it stops working, you have a not very effective brick.

K. The 525 comes with 3 mags and I'll pick up 3 more. My current IDPA gun is a G22 and I'll bring it for backup with 6+ mags. My vest and/or belt only holds 4 pistol mags so I can stow 1 in a pocket.

I am getting pretty darn excited for the class...

I don't know what condition it is in but a friend of mine is giving me an old truck that was on some land he bought, I'm sure we can get some use out of it.

I was more thinking use it as a training aid instead of a target, I might need your services.

So, how do we score it if you throw your pistol at the target and knock it over?

Depends on if one has a knife in their hands or not....

Moving and shooting drills from the back of a moving truck. It is wayyyyyyy harder than you think it is.

Yeah, moving and shooting a moving and shooting target is harder then that..

Looks like if one of my friends here signs up for the class I will be running my AK, should be interesting.

Having a vehicle for running some drills is cool. Having a single vehicle with ten or more students, can slow things down, but we can work with it with no problem!

ETA: If the truck has a seat, we'll do some shooting from inside the vehicle, and run some drills I used to use at the PD.

Damn this class is shaping up to be the coolest one. I'm so pissed I can't make it.

I will tell you from personal experience: It's much easier with a rifle than a pistol.

This is true. I was having a hard time with my ACOG at 50 yards on steel though when we were tearing across the shooting bay at the break neck speed of 20 MPH. I wish I had a RDS at the time instead of the ACOG.

Totally depends on the ACOG model and the experience level of the shooter. That's all I'll say on that.

Is your ACOG dual illuminated? If not, I can see that being a total bitch.

If you have dual illum, using the ACOG as an RDS takes a bit of practice. Dave has some drills that get you going in the right direction.

We officially hit 10 people who are "definite" for the main class. To celebrate, I'm drinking a shot of 15yr old scotch. To console myself that the drunk I encountered tonight didnt want to play a game of rock-paper-German Shepherd (I've been looking for a partner for that game for a bit), I'm going to drink a second shot of scotch
