This is what I have been waiting for. The chance to send more of my artwork out into the world. This was my letter last year that I included with the deposit.

This year I am thinking of going with more of a performance art theme. Something less like Rembrandt and more like Mapplethorpe.

I am off to raid the kids art box!

Gentlemen, it's time to start growing your beard.

Great. One more piece of kit I can't bring. Sorry, it's not a good look at my work for my facial hair to appear as if I have mange or leprosy or some shit. RIP my ability to grow a beard, I rocked it Aug 2005 - Jan 2011.

Will get my deposit sent in soon.

In the event of beard failure, also known as littlebitchitts we can hook you up with a prosthetic as not make you feel overwhelmed by th awesome manliness surrounding you.

Failing that. We could always set you up with an Abe Lincoln.

I don't think you'll get objections to bringing it, though rules may limit its use, IDK.

I at least want to fondle it

Absolutely.

May the aching in your arms from the weight of uselessness offset the laughter held behind your back as you flip through the Tapco catalog....

I promise to only laugh behind his back, never in his face, in the hopes that he'll let me shoot it before or after serious bang-bang time. You can lug the weight around all day, I'll pop off a flare after sunset.

Wait, so now you're NOT bringing it? I was hoping you'd bring it and some CS rounds in case the hookers aren't crying enough during the gangbang at Braxton's.

Actually I seriously considered making the 13 hour drive, but it just so happened that my wife is visiting her sister in Oklahoma around that same time so it won't work out.

I hate I'm missing yet another training opportunity with you guys. I've been wanting to meet Dave, Don, and you Jeriah for quite some time.

Oh and I don't own, and I will never own, a 37mm launcher.

No worries. There's always next time.

I kinda figured about the launcher...I guess I'll just have to shell out to pop off some 40mm chalk rounds next time I'm at Knob Creek.

booked at Southern Inn. Dude seemed weirded out that I'd book so far in advance. I told him I had camping plans for the weekend and needed a basecamp  Here's hoping the hotel is less rapey than Braxtons!

You can still stop by the rape camp farm and say hello.

Cool!

Also, does anyone know if the marking on this map from page 4 here http://www.claytargetsonline.com/club.php/2466 is accurate for the location of the range? Satellite doesn't really show anything that looks like a range/driveway/parking lot at the location. Mapquest says the actual address doesn't exist, google puts me at a bowling alley in Houston for the address that KC posted on page 4... Big Piney doesn't even put their address on the friggin website anywhere that I can find.

Trying to get all my ducks in a row including maps for the excellent adventure, little help?

Switch over to satellite and look west about a 1/4 mile. You will see the range. Its south of St. Rout B.

Have you upgraded your "I'ma be there" status to something more concrete? How far is Braxton's Hole, MO from Chicago anyway?

Decent ammo deals to be found on the Sportsman's Guide website right now. I just ordered 500 rounds of Wolf .223 for $120, shipped. The website said they were backordered until the second half of March, I ordered it last week and it got here today, so that's obviously not the case. You get a coupon for $10 off after that, use it to order your pistol ammo!

Anyway, stock up now so you're not running around at the last second trying to find ammo deals.

I can't grow facial hair worth a damn, but I implore the new guys/gals who are attending to NOT take Jeriah or Braxton or any other alums up on their offer to make you look like 'Abe Lincoln'...
Holmes: "You have arms, I suppose?
Watson: "Yes, I thought it as well to take them."
Holmes: "Most certainly! Keep your revolver near you night and day, and never relax your precautions..."
