Here's my bedside bump in the night gun.

It has quite a few mods, but that's about as "tactical" as it gets for me. The gun will basically do anything I ask of it hd/defense, hunting, sport shooting. Good to go.

My 870 was given to me by my father. Purchased in 1990 it is 22 years old and only shows wear on the pump slide.

Shoots fantastically, cycles great, and has an extremely smooth pump and action.

Whats wrong with the H&R? Besides it's China made... It works fine, especially for my budget...

I agree for the most part (besides longevity and weight), but this is a thread for 870s

I just figured I can always redo the finish on it with Duracoat and any other parts can be bought through Remington to be replaced into it and the weight issue can be off set by shortening the length of pull (which I need for my stubby ass arms anyways) so when I have the cash I'll be getting the MOE stock which can be as short as 12.5" L.O.P. Which I think is the same length as the youth models..

And yes, the real reason I got the H&R was so I can have all the MOE goodies without breaking the bank :clownshoes: But hey, I'll have this the way I want it at the price of a "real" stock 870, I feel good about it.

Either the HR is an 870, or all the AK guys are poseurs. Same damn thing.

If it was the same thing the barrels would be swappable. You cannot use a Remington 870 barrel on an H&R clone.

Don't compare something made in china as a clone to an American made product. It is not the same gun just a cheaper replica, I wouldn't spend my money on a clone, I would rather have the real deal.

In the end this is just a pontiac solstice

You're seeing it correctly, it has a coat of Burnt Bronze H series Cerakote on it. It spent a hard life riding around in the trunk of a police cruiser and was down to the bare metal, a little Cerakote and some Hogue grips dressed it right up!

I wouldn't mind buying a new 870 and having it done in Ceracoat bronze! Man that looks clean!

My 870 wingmaster I got all rusted out. Just finished it a couple of weeks ago. I also included a few pistols I have in my zombie survival display case.

Snagged one of the 2 3/4" 870s from the pile, and a magnum (3") from the boxes.

I refinished the wood on the magnum. I'm keeping the 2 3/4" as-is - it has too many stampings and engraved markings on it identifying it as a Pennsylvania State Highway Patrol gun.

All of them were po-po trade ins. The 2 3/4" is a Wingmaster, the 3" is a Police Magnum. The Police Magnum is gonna be my shooter. I just need to get a park'd barrel with bead sight for it, as both guns currently have rifle sights.

I'll have to take some individual pics later. I'm thinking about making a long shadow box for the 2 3/4" police gun and using some black and white photos as the background, and hanging it on the wall of the man cave. Maybe some photos showing various police holding shotguns at riots or something.

Yea, I'm going to have to wait until later to get some pics taken but I plan on it.
