My Baby. 1940 K98 F-1. Love this rifle....Image Manf code 337, Numbers matching, post war conversion by Norway to 30-06. Was cut at some point and drilled for a Lyman peep sight. Front sight blade has also been changed. My understanding is this is common as Home Guard units in Post war Norway were allowed to use their issue rifles in shooting comp's and biathalon use.

Typical Load is a 62 Grain FMJ Steel Core (XM855) which i hand load with pulled bullets.

CCI Mini Mag is typical load unless plinking

Typical load is a Nosler Ballistic tip handload

Also: Mauser 8mm (German made during ww2, inherited), Browning recoil operated 12 gauge, Remington 308 & 270, 50 caliber muzzle loader, 20 gauge pump, and several 22 caliber rifles.

Got 2 of the girls put back together.... Just ordered a UBR for the .50 Beowulf, still haven't decided what stock to use on my AK.....but I did do an autumn digicam on it for the hell of it.

Not 100% finished. I got a black handguard that needs to go on, as then it'll match the Ultimak. I want to go with an Ironwood butt stock to balance out a little better, and get a good sling + red dot. But, it can hold its own as it sits.

yessss I have come to the same conclusions that a wood stock + polymer handguards is the way to go. :clap:
