Finally, after a little over a year, it's done. First range trip was today and this is by far the most accurate AR I have fired. For me, it's the perfect "do everything" rifle.

11in Troy TRX Extreme tube

Not in the least, it's very comfortable and because there's no recoil, you don't have to worry about it being pushed closer. If you were in my neck of the woods, I'd let you shoot it and see for yourself!

They are a bit bulky for my tastes. I am sure after they get worn in a bit they will feel better, but as of right now, I am not a huge fan. The dexterity eludes me at times. I could also not use a G19 and use a G17 instead and that would get rid of my primary grip about shooting with gloves on. They are a nice glove, I just don't know if I would spend money on them right away.
Thanks Anianna!

Shooting at 400m. Open sights, like a boss:

(I may not have hit the target much, but I certainly scared the crap out of it with near misses!)

My newest boom stick, CAI Golani (Galil). Got her in a trade yesterday (following in the foot steps of the IDF, I traded in my FAL for the Galil). No range time yet, very nervious considering Century's track record.

I was looking at one of them actually.
I don't think you have much to worry about. I don't think Century make them, but just import them.

Every time I get a shotgun I end up getting rid of it a few months. Let's see how long I hold onto this one that I got as part of a trade...

Absolutely not the story. They are made from Galil parts kits by Century or one of their subcontractors. Had problems with receivers being out of spec in the past, but they fixed that now. Non-chrome US barrel (rated by Century to last only 12K rounds) and all that jazz. Unless you traded a Century FAL for it Alpha, I'd say you traded down big time.

Bought an absolutely perfect (as it can get) Mossin Nagant M44 tonite. ZERO corrosion in the barrel and ZERO pitting on the bolt face. I couldn't be happier !

Image

Got this Mossberg 500 in trade yesterday for a Savage .17 HMR. Only been fired a half-dozen times it looks like.

It works!!!

Image

Couple issues though. At least twice it ripped a casing in two, leaving the majority of the casing inside the chamber (obviously, this caused a malfunction). This was with Lake City and PMC brass cased ammo, so I'm at a loss as to why. Also, it wasn't particularly accurate, but it does fall under the description of "minute of badguy", so I'm good with it. Blast to shoot any which way.

Changed it up a little bit, got a good deal on a light mount, and heard good reviews on the Tac Star sidesaddle, so figured I'd give it a try.

-160 Rounds Fiocci Low Recoil 00 Buck
-175 Rounds Federal XM 00 Buck
-15 Rounds Federal LEO Low Recoil Slugs

Springfield XD Tactical .40-

Pachymyer grip

The 597 is plain aside from the bipod, and the 1400 is something handed down from my stepdad that he bought in 1987. I've never heard a single good thing said about the 1400 but I can knock clays out of the sky better than any shotgun I've ever used and it's never malfunctioned in the ~1000 rounds I've shot through it since I was a kid.

Might lose the 870 in favor of a semi auto 12g.Probably add a 700 in .308 or 30-06 to the mix and an SPR or M1A Socom 16 at some point. Also lusting after a P226 Combat and a PPQ 9mm. We'll see.
