Wondered how many AR mag's I have

Started wondering after the gun show last night and never had them all out at the same time so I figure what the hell




All the AR mags Ive collected since my 1st bushmaster back in 1994.



top to bottom

top Pre 1993 = ( marked 10/91 ) colt mag's
2nd row = 11 30 blk p-mags ( ignore the poly AK mag's they just happend to be conversing with the p-mags )
3rd row = 4 20rd C-product , 1 lancer 20rd , 5 20rd OD p-mags
4th row = 12 30rd C-product , 8 30rd DH , 5 20rd p-mags
5th row = 4 20rd fol/green p-mag's , 1 30rd window p-mag , 1 30rd fol/green p-mag

not pictured ( 1 fde 20 p-mag , 1 20rd lancer , 1 20rd fol/green )


Im not digging out the handgun mags or ak mag's (to much stuff all over this room)

At one point I knew how many AR mags I had. I don't keep a logbook of them or anything and some get tossed out occasionally when they fail.

I have enough that throwing one or two away doesn't make me think twice

REALLY hard to accumulate any 30 rounders here in NY, but i have a few pre ban.

My first AR 15 was a bushmaster. I didnt know enough when I bought it, to know its cons. I have since ameliorated many of the concerns regarding a BM AR, i.e. fail safe BCG, but not the BM mags. One mag came with the rifle, and I bought another. Both 10 rounders. One failed horribly, and the other is fine. So watch out for those. My mag count is slightly lower for that reason.

A 10 round mag not worth a shit in a rifle makes an awesome bottle opener. My friends all LOL when I hand it to them.

I have absolutely no idea how many magazines I have, I think a few hundred, and absolutely none are loaded. If I need to start using a rifle in the conus, I should have a time where I can sit and think about it for a while first. Sounds like a great time to load magazines to me.

18" bcm spr(ish) 18" (still havent decided on a scope)
20" bcm M16A4 Clone with KAC RAS and TA31F Ive had for years ( stock gave me issue's )

1 spike stripped zombie lower ( still havent decided )

And Im gonna see about picking up 1 or 2 more today at the dulles expo along with more ammo and see about a saiga thats been stalking me in my dreams lol!

I know I should probably keep them loaded for the inevitable invasion of paratrooper moon lizards, but I *heart* the way my many Pmags in many different colors look in their original factory wrappers. So shiny! It's a sickness...

I have something ~300 mags give or take a couple dozen. I have 50-60 mags loaded so I can just throw some in the range bag before I leave without having to worry about loading anything.

Yeah Ive only had about 4-5 loaded at any one time.


The only mag's Ive been used in the pic are the 8 DH mag's and a few magpuls (the one's not pictured) and a 20rd lancer.

I'm not even going to bother with a photo, I have three AR mags. One USGI and two black teflon-coated ones that I hate already.
