i did a search but didnt find what i was looking for. Where is the best place to buy ammo(9mm and .223 are what i need) online. i am not interested in shooting wolf or the other steel cased ammo. I like my ammo and my women the same way, cheap and with low shipping charges. (that last part was not funny).

thanks for any help

Cheaper Than Dirt

For a really good place, ammoengine.com for a huge library of price listings. Just check your caliber type at the top pulldown menu and it'll find you the cheapest price per round.

Palmetto State Armory usually has some good deals. Flat shipping of $12 per 1000 rounds (or portion thereof).

http://www.glensoutdoors.com has a good deal on Federal XM193 (5.56 FMJ) - $139 for 500 rounds. Shipping from MN to MO was about $15. UPS screwed something up in shipping, and Glen's customer service was fantastic in dealing with the matter.

Best price I found on .223/5.56mm was Widener's, Wolf Military Classic, under $200 for a cast of 1K rounds, plus shipping (but shipping was reasonable).

Someone referred me there but I think ammo engine was how they found that deal.

Last time I used http://www.sgammo.com/

They had fair shipping and the best prices on the ammo I was searching for at the time. They gave me a tracking number and it was at my house in 2 days.

Wideners and Palmetto State Armory both rock.

I find some good deals on Luckygunner.com

Gun-deals.com in the ammo tab has a collection of deals as well.

I usually check ammoseek.com before most any online ammo buys... just to be sure.

Another vote for ammunitiontogo. I was stunned how quickly the shipping went, and the price was great on the .223 and .45 I ordered.

I hate you so much Phil.

I buy from three main sources, Ammunitiontogo, Aimsurplus, and Midway, occasionally Widener's.

Bastard.

I bet a LOT of your errands include the phrase "You know, since I need to go to (insert destination) that means I'll be driving right by ammunition to go. Might as well stop in..." even if the phrase 'right by' actually means 'within 10 miles of'.

A scenic drive past Washington on the Brazos and into the metropolis of Independence, Texas. Last time I was there they had about 12 people working, and are likely the largest non-farm employer in that county....
