-Optics mount
-TLR-1
-Sling mount
-VTAC sling
-BUIS
-poly rail for MOE handguards
-magpul trigger guard
-charging handle
-H buffer and spring (probably should've gotten an H2.. likely have to pick one up later)
-hand stop

I would go with the 11.5 personally. The 14.5 is nice, but it's so close to a 16" that it's almost not worth paying the 200 for the tax stamp just to cut off .2" (14.7 + A2 blind welded is >16") of the barrel. Go the full 9 yards and get a 10.5 form LMT or a 11.5 from BCM. I would.

I looked up that rail... Are you going for light weight? I won't comment specifically on how that rail looks though, but I am a Larue fanboy and a 10" or 11" full length on a 11.5" would look badass.

I think an 11" LaRue rail would completely cover the muzzle--no thanks

Side note: I'm going with a MOE because I want a lightweight shooter with just the basics and none of the bullshit (like I outlined in my Fighting Carbine thread). However, I may go with a heavier buttstock (anyone want to guess which one?) so that when a suppressor is mounted the center of gravity is where it should be.

I would personally rather have a 12" but when the 11.5" presented itself, I said, "fuck it--it's only half an inch"

my goal is to have a rifle with a full length rail system. again im thinking under 12 inch barrel.

so unless some one can explain why its a bad idea, i want say a 12 inch rail system with a 11.5 barrel + Muzzle device

Just a question, does the inch designation extend from the throat of the barrel, or does it mean the actual number of inches of actual rail space? I checked my 7" and it only had about 5.5-6" of rail space, so I don't know... (runs to go check 12")

EDIT: Looks like the inch designation is the length of the rail in total, not just rail space but adds about .5" to the length. So the 11" full length would either just come up to the crush washer, or half of the flash hider... 10" full length then?

I can understand a KISS carbine though. I just converted my carbine back to the KISS setup, I just need a way to attach the damn light to it that doesn't involve duct tape and "be creative"

I would ASSume actual rail space, or maybe space from the rear of the barrel nut to the end of the rail.

RRA Flat-top and a cheapo sling, just starting my build, the lower is next. Oh and a new CRKT folder (not a firearm but close).

I guess I should have checked this first. Looks like a 11" full length would cover the crush washer, but not the FS

A holster for the Glock 17 and a holster for the 1911. Also four more boxes of .223 Remington and one box of .38 Winchester. I bought several camping items, but they aren't firearms related so I won't burden you with my other awesome purchases.

Smith & Wesson M&P15-22... ok I actually bought it last Thursday but it was supposed to arrive at my FFL yesterday. But he missed the delivery and he had to sign for it, and now he went on vacation for a week without giving me prior heads up, so I gotta wait until next Monday! :( :(

I was looking forward to having it at the range today!

Oh well.
