Hello. I have been checking out your website and forum for sometime now. So much great information and so many cool people.
If I remember right I saw your website on TV one day. I think it was on the news. Your organization was helping with Disaster Information/Preparedness. I really like how you incorporated Zombies into Preparedness. I am a huge Zombie fan and I am also small time prepper. I say small time because as of now I just don't have the room for doing a lot of food storage and such. I also am a avid camper, hunter, hiker. In other words, I just love being outside and enjoying what mother nature has to offer. I love also being a gardener. I have been gardening almost all my life. I love to grow my own vegetables.
I finally decided to actually join the forum and I am thinking of actually becoming a member. That badge is just down right cool, plus I know it goes to doing good things. Which brings me to my next point.
People as a general rule really don't prepare for disasters like we probably should. So many people have only what is in the fridge for that day. Or people tend to just say to themselves "it's not gonna happen here" or "I'll just go to my folks house". When in reality, anything bad could happen anytime and what would you be able to do about it.
You guys rock because you used "Zombies" to aid in that to help to prepare people for disasters/emergencies. Think about for a second. Anytime you watch a zombie flick the world as we know it pretty much came to an end and bad stuff is going down. And what becomes a major problem when zombies take over other than eating you?? Not enough food, water, fuel, etc. Social order break apart, etc. That is pretty much what happens when any Disaster Event happens.
So, in short. Thank you for the time to introduce myself. I look forward to reading and learning more and putting our knowledge together in a single place.
