Re: Homemade Face Masks

My wife had some 35%, I believe it came from an ethnic hair supply store before we met. You buy it by the gallon, and risk destroying anything it contacts. Not something to be played with lightly. I also found this article off the instant pot website recently claiming they can be used as a makeshif...

COVID-19 Humor

Yeah, it's a global pandemic that's killed many thousands so far and will probably kill millions, but ZS has always enjoyed a bit of dark humor if it's done right. A lot of us have experience in the military and/or as first responders or in the medical fields, and those groups are notorious for thei...

Re: Homemade Face Masks

Hey Everybody. I'm not any sort of pro, but when I hear about reusing masks & such, I shudder quite uncomfortably. Again, I'm not a professional. I have something like a 1/2 balaclava that I can wear. I'll probably order one of those Etsy masks or something off of (shudder) Amazon. :? I found this ...

Re: Homemade Face Masks

It is possible that the CDC is going to recommend that everyone wear a facemask when they are outside around people. They specifically discourage n-95 and surgical masks so as not to compete with health care providers for these items. https://www.statnews.com/2020/04/02/coronavirus-cloth-masks-reco...

For us, that's about 4 months of car payments so it may go to paying down the principal.

HTTP 500 errors

We're getting reports from some members that they are encountering HTTP 500 errors when trying to access the site. Obviously, if you're reading this they either cleared up for you or you're not one of the people affected but if you know of someone affected or have been having the problem intermitten...

What WILL you do with that stimulus check?

So, the bill is signed and the checks will eventually go out, what are your plans for yours? Knowing this crowd I suspect a lot of that cash is going to be plowed back into replacing depleted supplies (as best as possible) and expending existing preps but let's hear some specifics. (this thread may ...

COVID-19 Food & Drink Wins!

When all this hit we were at a planned low point in our perishables storage because we were in the process of packing up to move. Thus, the freezer out in the garage was close to empty and the same with the house fridge. We were able to restock both a little bit by me shopping late at night when the...

After also looking at your pretend to cook thread , I noticed you also had your pizza oven on the work bench. So you must need to change the title to

My Firearms/Knife Work Station and Pizzeria location :awesome:

Add a toilet and you would never have to leave :v:

Re: COVID-19 Thread

Two things I would like to address given the current shift in the conversation here: 1) I cannot speak for the entire nation (obviously) but here in West Tennessee, certain types of crime have increased. As Stercutus pointed out, property crime and burglaries are increasing here in Dyersburg, as we...

Re: Using the new Imgur button to upload images

This is cool, I stoped using photobucket and the other one. This will be nice. However, for those of us that post from our phones is there a way to do the advanced? I tried it and it gave me a “file to big” error. I can’t right click because we’ll..... it’s a phone. I tried pressing and holding and...

Re: Using the new Imgur button to upload images

Nice intergration! It is, isn't it? An easy, integrated, way to post images has been something these forums needed for a long time. The issue was storage and bandwidth. This system doesn't use space on our server and only limited amounts of bandwidth. It's going to need some tweaking (working on th...

Re: COVID-19 Thread

How do we bug out from an overly infected LA to anyplace safer if a travel ban and martial law is in effect? Many of you live in lesser infected areas. OR at least rural areas where you can more easily get out of the way of this thing. This right here is the biggest, nastiest fallacy we face, the c...

Using the new Imgur button to upload images

One of the things that have always been a PITA here on the forums was putting images in your post. For a long time Photobucket was the way to do it, then they changed their system and raised their prices to the point they aren't practical. Imgur has become the new preferred image host but it was a l...

Re: Looking into a new pistol

So no love for the XDM 10mm? I want a 10mm, and if I am going to get one, I would like to be able to swap calibers. A couple.of hundred bucks to be able to able to do so is fine with me. It is more about being able to experience the feel of the round, and being able to share it with other shooters....
