Re: Marlin Model 60 on fire

Do not store it in that case. My dad gave me his old riot gun & it was stored in a case just like you described. Thing was rusted because the wool would soak up all the oil off the gun & any other moisture it could find & rust. I've seen others use the same case & the wool was stuck to the gun like ...

Re: Good buy? (used Sig P220)

That looks like a good price for a 220. I had a Sig 220 for several years, and they are great guns. FWIW- I prefer my 1911's to the Sig 220. I'm not a fan of the Sig DA/SA trigger. I also find I shoot better with most 1911's than my old Sig 220. The 1911 mags are also cheaper and easier to find in,...

Re: embarassing, harmless moments

YEP I got one. I was stationed down at Ft Hood Tx and my family lives in Ky. On a trip up to visit them i did not bring any warm clothes because in Tx the Temp had still been in the high 70's well when I land in Ky the temp is closer to 40 than 70, my dad gives me an extra hunting jacket to wear. W...

Re: Should I keep my SIG P229 in .357Sig or switch to .40S&W

.357 SIG is a god among 9mm I'd get the .40 S&W barrel for ease of finding ammo, but I'd learn to reload and make your own .357 SIG rounds for serious power. There is a reason why the border patrol carries .357 SIG! When did the BP switch to .357 SIg???? Last I heard they were carrying H&Ks in .40 ...

Re: The Civilian Marksmanship Program?

If you plan to go to one of the stores I would call first to see if they have what you are looking for. They don't usually have the service grade rifles because of the high demand & backlog & I've heard the rifles they do have are kind of rough. They are also out of ammo except for some .223 & .22lr...

Re: Selling/trading guns

Unless it was a gift or an inheritance , I don't put much sentimental value in guns . I buy and sell guns all the time . I am constantly upgrading . I'd say this is an upgrade . Personally , I am not overly fond of Berettas , and less so of the .40 S&W cartridge . I'd do it . :D +1. Traded the 1st ...

To answer the OP's question, here is a site that sells several kinds of pistol grip stocks for the M1a http://www.law483.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Prices vary & you can see if they'll custom build you one. They are a lot cheaper than other manufacturers.

Re: Glock 21, a hand-full of 45 acp goodness.

I love my G21. At first I thought the grip would be a little too much but after shooting it I couldn't believe how well it fit my hand & how little recoil flip there was. CDNN still has used G21 mags for $12 each. They were $10 each but they recently raised the price. All the ones I received were li...
