Re: Complete environmental collapse near Seattle.

May God have mercy on us all. To quote Mel Gibson's character from the movie Ransom: "may God be with you, because no one on Earth will." But first, you. If for some reason you haven't already, you need--NEED in all capital letters here--to get your preps in order. Do you have drinking water and wa...

Re: Digital money for currency/bank protection

A bitcoin goes for 30 to 50 dollars right now, and you have to find someone who wants it. Sure, buy two or three. I wouldn't put thousands of dollars into it though. They're capping the amount of bitcoins about 10 years from now.

Re: Information Storage - Low Tech and Long Term?

You'll probably think this is silly, but bear with me. There was a Batman episode a couple of years ago, where Batman had died fighting Mr. Freeze. Gotham mourned and so on. Five hundred years later Future Gotham cops cracked open the Batcave looking on how to fight Mr. Freeze, because someone thoug...

Re: Bank Run in Cyprus: Who's Next?

I think what this does is buy the Cyprus goverment, the Eurozone people and the IMF time. They've already lost trust. People are on record speculating now all of Europe is unsafe. I've been thinking that the U.S. will do the same thing if things get desperate enough. That doesn't matter anymore. Wha...

Re: Bank Run in Cyprus: Who's Next?

Do you really believe that the depositors in Cyprus banks are not going to pull their deposits out of the banks because of some possible future event that may make the US/UK/EU do the same at some point in the future? Seriously? Hmm. I have a theory. Strict withdraws of up to 100 Euros per day, eve...

Re: Bank Run in Cyprus: Who's Next?

The really interesting thing though is when the banks open what is going prevent everyone from withdrawing their funds. Some new laws give Cyprus central banking authority to regulate "noncash transactions, freeze check cashing, limit withdrawals and even convert checking accounts into fixed-term d...

IN THE GREAT APOCALYPSE OF THE 21ST CENTURY, MEN WERE DOOMED. FOR THE ROTTING CORPSES HAD RISEN FROM THEIR GRAVE, TO FEAST ON FLESH AND SOULS. MEN TRIED TO FIGHT THE GHOULS; SOME WITH LEAD AND FIRE, SOME WITH STEEL AND STRENGTH, OTHERS WITH NOTHING MORE THAN STICKS AND WITS. MOST FAILED, AND THE LI...
