Re: What are YOU currently lusting after? (firearms related)

I asked S&W about the possibility of a 10mm M&P. Response was: "Dear customer, I will pass on to the engineering folks." Sincerely, Michael Difiore" Bah. Gues I'm going to have to suck it up and but a G20 ... My soul will die a little and my hand will vomit, but I will have 10mm goodness. He got it ...

It says zombie armor right in the thread title.

Re: I have an AR. I also have lions and tigers and bears. Oh

I've taken a way from this thread that while a .223 is not ideal, if I had to have one gun to cover all possible bases, there are worse options than an AR. The last time this came up, I believe 5.45 and 7.62x39 were also mentioned (and data provided of stops in both calibers, via the "make Swiss ch...

Re: I have an AR. I also have lions and tigers and bears. Oh

Just shot a 45-70 Marlin Guide Gun a few weeks ago. Not too bad and handled well for around $550 not too bad. But since you are talking about ammo for 5.56, I'd go with the TSX in 62 grain or the similar weight federal Fusion. I relied on my AR with these loads for a while in black bear/cougar count...

Wide beam "spotlight"

Hello folks! I've been looking for a camping spotlight. I'm currently using a 2.25 million candlepower husky, but the battery is dying and I've wanted more of a flood effect than a narrow spotlight. I have powerful tac lights for that. What I'm looking for is a multimillion power spotlight that has ...

I have a couple smaller mags for hiking. I usually sling the rifle across my back and the shorter mag is less likely to catch on things. I like them a lot. Of course there are usually a couple 30rndrs in the truck (like 10!)

Suddenly overcome by the "need" for an M&P in 10mm. I know its a unicorn. If only they'd make one.

Re: DUmbest thing HOA neighbors complain about

Rains on Monday, by Friday every house has weeds growing in the rocks (AZ, "low maintenance yards" are rock). By the weekend when most people are off from work to deal with the weeds (trust me, we POUR weed killer on the entire front yard), everyone has a "friendly reminder" in their mailbox to pull...

Re: Suppressor or Middy for Max?

I'll second the .45 suppressor for the reasons Doc Fab gave. Also, once you get the suppressor you may be smitten and want the 300bo as Browning said. Of course that makes you spend $$ and have no toys to show for it for a while.

You know it's bad when I'm linking Daniel Zimmerman, Taurus Judge Fan, as a tester. :words: So basically, he showed what everyone that actually cares about shooting already "knew". Good on him. Results were unsurprising. It does exactly what the promo video showed it doing, just not as effectively....

Re: What would you do...with your tax return?!

A portion of my income is not taxed at the time I receive it. Therefore I try to estimate what those taxes will be and have my regular income job taxed to offset. I usually get pretty close, only $200-$300 either way. IF I get a return, I consider that money "fun money" as it is not counted on and o...

Oil changes on the cars. Secured a $35/hr job after not working regularly for almost a year and "living" ...

Re: Zombie Outbreak - Everyone Bug-Out!

Probably call the wife and tell her the kids are really, really sick. She's a nurse and that will get her home before saying the ZPAW has started. Make sure the mags are loaded for the AR, lock the kids in their room and load the truck (kids ALWAYS come outside when I'm in the garage). 15 mins later...
