Re: Pistol Caliber Carbine...Pistol? Build Thread

Nice, I've heard good things about them as a company. And the TiRant is a great choice. Make sure to check that baby on long strings of fire, thread on cans can work themselves loose in a surprisingly low number of rounds. It's less noticeable on something like that than a titling barrel pistol. Wi...

Pistol Caliber Carbine...Pistol? Build Thread

Well, finally scratching what should be the final itch for AR variant builds for me. Ordered a .45ACP builder’s kit from Quarter Circle 10 With a 10.5” barrel and rear charging handle orientation (vs. side charger). https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-RMcqDps/0/4f1331f5/XL/i-RMcqDps-XL.jpg Had them ...

Re: Ammunition Storage Do's & Dont's

Been simply vacuum packing mine for years...if true long-term storage vs just keeping it clean and dry, I’ll throw in a desiccant pack or two as well. Usually have it loose in the bags, but just kept these I did today in the plastic holders to make it easier to stack...I’m out of room in all my amm...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

3000 5.56, 1000 10mm, and 500 .308 boolits. Finally found some places that are getting stock back. Still can’t find bulk 9mm. Nice on the 5.56...I can’t find anything less than $0.40/rd that’s not steel case so I just can’t bring myself to buy any. 10mm is one of the calibers that’s always on the s...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Bought some good will with one of my neighbors...helped him assemble his first AR from a pile of parts. Well ok, he mostly watched me put it together, but I had him do the easy stuff like hand guard, butt stock, and buis installation. Nice build, he spent a bit more than I would have on some of his ...

Helped a buddy put together his first AR-15 last night. Luckily he got the parts before the panic inflated everything. He'd just been sitting on them for a few months and finally got off his butt to come over.

He's a car guy and really enjoyed the mechanics of it.

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

The weird thing is the plain Pmag cost more than the custom painted ones. 16.99 versus 11.99 at my local hardware store. That's quite a difference :? I'd have figured the painted ones would be the more expensive one, to be honest. Academy in Odessa has Pmags for about 15 bucks, so 16 bucks for one ...

Nice update ... A short header like “2 weeks ago” or something before the time jumps would help... A lot of names to keep up with too; maybe just use terms like ‘the father of the girls’ or something to that effect for characters who will only be in the story a brief time. Regardless, nice pace and ...
