Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Picked up a bunch of various Magpul stuff today (mostly sling parts and a fore end for my 870 and another grip for my AR) along with my very first OTF knife. I also picked up a pair of OEM Glock mags for my G17. I would've picked up a couple G21 mags, but they were cleaned out of them and pretty mu...

How are we ever to restore faith in the news, if their coverage isn't unbiased, and they're not fear mongering?

Your "cannot" list needs work. I have some butter in my deep freeze that's almost 10 years old and still gets used now and then. Refrigerated eggs also can be fine months after their best by date.

That sounds pretty rad. Do they have anything that will also pair up with an anemometer yet?
Not yet but... I have weather stations I can get readings from on my phone and pass to the scope using their app.

Re: Shotgun adapters

Those old Toppers had 28" barrels stock, so lopping off 10" of the barrel would still keep it legal with an 18" barrel and 33" LOA. Of course, Starman could also have gotten his tax stamp for it before cutting it down, which would also be legal.

Yes, on the air travel and yes on the wheels (more because I'm an old fart who walks with a cane and wheels make it easier). Dimensions on the rifle going into the case are 43.25" long by 12" (if I leave the scope mounted) and I want to try and avoid overly long cases. So, with Pelican, the ones tha...

I've had other people tell me about those Apache cases from HF, saying they're "just as good" as the Pelicans, but when I've looked at them in the stores they don't seem so great. Inevitably there will be one or two on the shelf with broken latches or hinges and that doesn't exactly inspire confiden...

Spent a couple of hours today pricing hard cases for my BM59. The case it was shipped in is junk and falling apart so I'm looking to replace it. Right now I'm just looking at Pelican and Plano but not really happy with either of them. If the price is reasonable then the case is either that "Vault" c...
