Re: Most common ammo's in US?

OTOH, if your weapons all use uncommon ammo you're less affected by shortages (ex: a lot of places still have .40 on the shelves and many still have 9mm Makarov) and your stockpiles have less interest to those who might want to take it from you. They might want any 12 or 20 gauge shells you have bu...

Re: 80% AR Lower

(OTOH, I love my Cav Arms lowers, and have a couple the new ones on pre-order) I'm in the same boat, I'm curious if they will ever actually make them. When I ordered it seemed like October was going to the be delivery date. So does anyone who mills out their own 80% receiver anodize? From what I've...

The website says these are Gen 2 Poly lowers, that are reinforced with Kevlar at the buffer tube. Would that change anything?
Well, Kevlar is very flexible so I can't see it doing much to stop the issue of the BCG binding. Might help with the cracking issue though.

Re: Firearms CHAT: [2020 - Year of the Squib]

I'm very curious to see what Ruger does with Marlin's IP. One kinda obvious option might be a "Wrangler-style" .22LR lever gun. Plastic furniture, cast parts where not structurally required elsewhere, etc. Not sure if it'd actually be all that much cheaper, but given the cost of Wranglers and 10/22...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Got the coat and tried it on only to find either I've gotten fatter (weight is still the same so unlikely) or that it ran a little small (most likely). I could zip it, but with a gun in it, I was going to print like crazy. I considered exchanging it for a larger size but the other big issue was that...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

And if shit really goes sideways I can carry two pistols for a NY reload! How did this term come to be? NYPD carrying a second revolver instead of a speedloader, supposedly. Can confirm that this was a common (unofficial) practice with NYPD officers BITD. My family always had friends who we...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Thought I'd give this a try for when I'm in the car. Venado Concealed Carry Jacket for Men - Heavy Duty Canvas - Conceal Carry Pockets Does it have two holsters? Confusing. It seems to have a holster and what looks like a mag pocket under each panel. Correct. I like the dual mag pockets. And if shi...

Thought I'd give this a try for when I'm in the car. Venado Concealed Carry Jacket for Men - Heavy Duty Canvas - Conceal Carry Pockets Looks neat. Let us know how it looks. The only concern I can see is that it might hang weird; the gun looks like it's pretty far forward, whereas if it were right u...

Low cost tweeks I might try during the next round of lockdown boredom. MLOK: I would work on switching the picatinny adaptors out for direct MLOK attachments of all your rail mounted accessories. Once you go full MLOK you never go MBAK. Put MLOK rail guards on [cut to fit as needed], or not. Umm, t...

I had to go and look through the New and Improved AR rabbit hole... I now have orderered a M-Lok forward grip, mini picatinny rail and QD attachment to go with it. My boring almost untouched M&P15 is going to look like a Magpul commercial but that is OK I love the 10/22 takedown stock, and slings i...

Re: Minimalist Tool Kit

Normally i don't like multi-function tools, as they tend to do a number of jobs, badly. However I've used a Klien 11in 1 for a few years now, and paired with a Southwire 7 in 1 (S7N1HD) pliers and a small adjustable crescent, takes care of 90% of the in home jobs I've come across. It's a solid (rea...

So, has anyone else added up how much they'll owe the Gub'mint if we end up having to get a $200 stamp for each "assault weapon" and a $50 stamp for each "hi-cap" magazine? Mask mandate in New Hampshire started today. Public spaces, stores, etc. I only had to tell 5 people to go get masks, which the store provides free to all customers. Why me?
