Re: Slide belt survival belt

It's an interesting idea--if the buckle comes off while still keeping the belt closed. But for $180, I consider it completely unrealistic. If I had unlimited funds, I'd get one to play with and keep in an EDC drawer, but I don't see myself ever buying it. Nor anyone I know.

Re: Bug Out Gear Deals (Post 'em when you find 'em) I

Some rocking clearance deals at TAG supply. $5 shipping. Just bough a Linchpin in ACU for $75. Leatherman Crunch for $40. Most of the tac gear is ACU or ABU, some ATACS. But what the hell - I'm sure the zombies are color-blind. Got a link or website name? Every search I do just brings up sites for ...

Vermont Barre Surplus is having a 20% off sale. I just saved about $100 on a new Eberlestock pack. They also have a category discount on packs right now too. The hitch is it's over at midnite. http://www.vtarmynavy.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The site says you must do the su...

Re: firearm accessories that you want that are not on the ma

The Kel-Tec PMR-30 is a thirty-round .22WMR pistol. Apparently it's possible, but I think everyone and their brother would buy one in .22LR. I have been in contact with KelTec and they said that they were working on a 22 conversion for it, but that was a year ago.... I emailed them a few weeks ago,...

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

So I've got my lower and I'm going to start my first build. I'm looking to build a shorter barreled rifle that could be used for home defense, or if SHTF in urban areas, well under 300 yards. I'm already used to iron sights. I've been reading about the M4. What I don't get is, other than having 80%...

Probably Magpul's flip-up BUIS (which are actually made from their polymer). You can usually find an older generation than the absolute newest, and often for less.

Re: How much is a pound of less weight worth?

It depends on how often you'd be using it.

You're only saving that weight when you're carrying the lighter pot, rather than the heavier one.

But you're always out that extra $50.

Re: Admit it: what you have that you do not know how to use

I'm unsure about how to use most of my first aid stuff, and I don't know how to properly clean my AR-15. Where you at in NC? If yer close enough, you could get in on one of the ZS:SC MBO's, and we could show you both. Shoot me a PM if interested. I'm a little north of Charlotte. I've never done a M...

Palmetto State Armory is selling blemished (but perfectly functional) stripped AR-15 lower receivers plus a full lower parts kit for $99. I just got that and a $33 stock kit for a complete lower for only $154, including shipping.

Offer ends quickly. It's over at noon today.

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

In random news:

I finally bought and attached a sling to my 16" AR-15, a one-point. It's just not what I expected. When I let go of the rifle, it hits my knees and shins. I may go to a two-point. Just not what I expected; I thought it would ride a little higher. It's a Blackhawk bungee sling.

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

I haven't been able to shoot my AR-15 much at all since I finished building it, because I got it done right before the Freakout of 2013 and couldn't afford ammo. But since prices are beginning to come down and I've got some cash on hand, I want to begin shooting it more. I'd like to get a sling, but...
