Re: Noticed in the last week

If it makes you feel any better Microsoft Edge has helpfully supplied me with ads for migraine headache medications since I posted that. Those people in the ads look so happy I am starting wonder if I need them now.

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

The Extar EP9 came home today. That thing is light as a feather and runs like a clock. You can't beat it for $440 delivered to the LGS. I shamefully bought a factory Glock 33 round magazine for the first time to go with it.

Some of the all in one charging stations are nice to have to, to keep your cell phone and maybe your internet up and running. https://www.walmart.com/ip/STANLEY-1200A-Peak-Jump-Starter-Power-Station-w-500-watt-inverter-J5CPD/414074613?sourceid=csebr033c405ae7287146e4b85826c9e73d5d6f&wmlspartner=bizr...

Should I learn the basics of bandage and things of that nature too? Just go to the Red Cross and take a First Aid/ CPR course. That will get you a baseline and you can decide where you want to go from there. Here is a listing of the ones currently available in BC. https://www.redcross.ca/in-your-co...

Re: Global Debt Time Bomb explodes soon

I am not a hundred percent sure this wasn't less of a "need" operation and more of a "greed" operation. There is still plenty of room in the middle to make a ton of cash if you have the funds to move money around. Either way the Fed figured that was enough and cut basis points instead. If it is a gr...

Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

Israel's nuclear deterrent will likely not be used in a first strike role. Unless they had proof positive that the Iranians were preparing a strike on Tel Aviv or something. Short of a homeland strike I don't see them employing it.

They have other options.

The Russians have explicitly that no radiation was released from the reactor no bio weapons escaped their enclosures and in fact they were completely unaffected.

Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

IMO opinion any attack on Iran will be though proxies and not direct strikes by the Saudis. They have too much to lose by being direct. We are still in the proxy fight stage but it does not have to stay there. I don't think the US can do much more with sanctions than they are already doing. They ca...

Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

The bottom line is: How far will the Gulf States go to protect their lifeblood? Iran is counting on them backing down and lying down. I don't think that this calculation is correct. If the Gulf States, Iraq and Iran get caught up in a full scale war the shocks to the world's energy supply will be li...

They are saying now likely several months, however they are releasing some of their stockpile which is less than 40 days of exports. So it appears as though Iran has followed through with their threats. The Saudi led Sunni Gulf State Coalition is not powerful enough to take on Iran. I'd say at this ...

Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

IT's up 19% now. I'd say that qualifies as "going ape shit".

The big question for the US is does that help us or hurt us? 15 years ago it would have caused an immediate recession. These days I am not so sure. It may even be helpful.
