Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"

The local hospitals have activated their "COVID Teams". President Donald Trump has declared Alabama a major disaster area in connection to the coronavirus pandemic. BTW per the AL site 6,531 tested with 847 positive or a 12.9% positive % about the same as LA. http://alabamapublichealth.gov/infectio...

Re: COVID-19 Thread

Bunch of Stuff. Like I said it doesn't show an increase in attacks. Maybe the internet social media stuff, but that is about as reliable as the rain and as trustworthy as a tabby cat; so who really knows? The SPLC is not a reliable source for anything either. They lost me back in 2009 when they sai...

Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

It really is difficult for me to wrap my brain around the fact that I just came to this forum a couple of months ago and now this is all happening. When I first came here, I was a little embarrassed and worried what any of my family or acquaintences might think if they found out that I was perusing...

It's not just for America or Canada. Happy to take their money in good times, European tourist area locals don't want rich city folks during Armageddon.

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"

First sign that law and order is, if not breaking down, being challenged by armed groups. Hardly the first sign at all. Law and order is challenged every single day by armed groups wanting to do things to benefit themselves at the expense of others. Looks to me like the Sheriff's office is dealing ...

One type of crime has increased due to COVID-19. Fiesta night last night. The Great Value canned refried beans expired 10/11/12. They were nuked for two minutes, dropped a little shredded cheese on them and everyone enjoyed with no ill effects.

ABC News Update, 2300 hr updte, stated that RI Army Guard soldiers are stopping people, checking ID's on trains, and , going door-to-door looking for NY residents . Has anyone heard anything about this? I heard about it. Read an article on Facebook last night. Looking to deport New Yorkers. Door to...

Re: COVID-19 Thread

How do we bug out from an overly infected LA to anyplace safer if a travel ban and martial law is in effect? Many of you live in lesser infected areas. OR at least rural areas where you can more easily get out of the way of this thing. This right here is the biggest, nastiest fallacy we face, the c...

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"

The death rate is getting ready to go in to a rapid climb in Alabama. The virus has been detected in six nursing homes in Alabama. Since family members are not allowed to visit this is even more terrible news. Huntsville shut down their drive through test center due to lack of medical supplies. Hate...

No. I was asking "you". That is what I said. I correctly qualified it. If the president continues closer to martial law. Like he apparently did by activating troops back from retirement or non-active duty early this morning. Not sure how calling up some doctors and retired medical staff officers mo...

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"

The Alabama shut down order closed sporting goods stores like Academy Sports but not gun shops. Academy sells a metric ton of guns a month and is the low cost guns and ammo dealer in the state. I am guessing someone really politicked well to get them closed.

The gun shops can now print money.

Re: COVID-19 Thread

My follow up is what would it take in terms of it actually happening? How serious would the virus situation have to get before they would shut down state to state travel? And at what point would the public accept it? You are asking for opinion based upon conjecture. I think it is sufficient to say ...

Maybe in theory. In actual practice I drove by Lowes last night and they have stockage spilling out covering half their massive parking lot. Nobody is buying gardening stuff and the trucks are still coming.

Re: COVID-19 Thread

What about under martial law? Just curious. Canada's eastern provinces are closed. But they're small provinces with few (read: one, maybe two) highways. My wife was speaking to a colleague from their Quebec office today and she was told regional travel was limited. See my thread about rural propert...

Alabama has issued a non-essential business closings state wide.

No SIP.
Haven't even gave us masks, but same here
They don't have any to give us. But now that it in the open I can wear the "one mask" I have on hand. But I don't see the point. We are all going to get it anyway.
