An Early Christmas Present!!

The link to this video depicts an armed robbery in progress, and a police officer walking into the store unaware of what is happening. This could happen to any one of us during our daily travels. Has anyone thought how they would react, or possibly avoid this type of confrontation? The suspect was l...

Re: Mexico becoming a failed state?

I predict that within 10yrs, the mass killings of LEO's and criminal prosecutors will become as common place as it is now in Mexico Not gonna happen here; we'd stitch up the border like a bad flesh wound - fuck nafta and anyone who wants to stop it - before we let that kind of shit become "commonpl...

Re: M1 Garand for TEOTWAWKI (POLL)

I think the word "perfect" swayed a lot of peoples votes. There is an endless list of pros and cons, but how did someone put it, "30-06, turning cover into concealment since, 1906." . The person who planned on defending himself with an M1 is definitely not underequipped. I would be interested in a r...

Re: Blackhawk Bandolier

I'd stick with your original plans of "light weight and quick." (3) AR mags=84 to 90 rds, there is no way to carry 90 rounds of shotgun ammo and still be "light and quick". In almost every scenario that I can think of, I would rather have a AR type weapon than a shot gun that holds 4 to 8 rds and is...

I predict that within 10yrs, the mass killings of LEO's and criminal prosecutors will become as common place as it is now in Mexico. The question that I pose is , who do you consider more of an immediate threat to you and your family, some Muslim extremist 10,000 miles away or an organized drug cart...

Re: SoCal BOL??

I use to live in Los Angeles and I would take my chances on Catalina Island, rather than attempting to flee SoCAL with the other million trying to get out of town. Many people may not realize that SoCal is not comprised of a town/city surrounded by a rural area until you get to the next town/city. Y...

Re: Fake cans.....WHY!?

I've seen some fake cans for sale that look real and have the names of authentic manufacturers on them. I would rather not have the attention of some LEO who is making a good faith decision by arresting me. Sure, the case will get thrown out, but only after some weapons tech. test fires it later in ...

Re: S just HTF, first 5 things you do?

WHAT I WOULD DO ; 1. Not go to work. 2. Make sure all the "equipment" is working properly. 3. Load half of the supplies and "equipment" in trunk of car, in case of BUG out. 4. Monitor TV, computer, scanner, and radio for information. I would be curious to see how the "authorities" responded to the ...

Glock 25 .380?

I did a quick search and could locate a clear answer. Why isn't Glock able to import into the U.S., their model 25, in .380 cal. It's not like I see a need for one as a defensive pistol for myself, I am just curious.

Re: Collection (Changed!!!)

Don't use the word redundant when talking about your firearms. Personally, I think of it more as preplanning for my kids future. Who knows what guns, if any, that they will have the right or financial ability to purchase 20 years from now. To be debt free is a fine goal, but it is usually very short...

For $1500, no thanks, it's just a 7 pound "handgun." At least if it was in 10mm, it would might have better potential.

http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu325/0661rbs/P1010124.jpg For anyone in the market for fixed buttstock magazine pouches, Blackhawk has the " OD " style on sale for $9.99. The pouches are adjustable to fit either a 20rd or 30 rd magazine. The pouch for the mini-14 will probably work better with ...

Re: Reloading Ammo

Shop the secondary market (Ebay, etc), where you can get good deals on equipment, presses, dies, tumblers, books, etc, that people no longer want. Do a lot of research by reading various reloading books. If you are lucky enough to live near outdoor public areas open to shooting, you'll be surprised ...

I was recently thinking of buying one for the storage of ammo, and reloading equipment. I normally wouldn't trust one for the storage of firearms, but its better than hiding them under your bed.

http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu325/0661rbs/P1010121.jpg After close to 20yrs of carrying a 92FS, my employer recently went to the Sig 226 9mm. Yep, this incident will get sanatized and written off as a " Doctor who heard too may sad and scary stories ", that's why he decided to murder all those soldiers. Try not to forget, the information is coming from news agencies, you're pretty much guaranteed that its not even close to what happened. You want to be able to tuck in your shirt and still keep it from printing. Thats a tall order. I've carried a 92FS in a Galco, Scout holster for the last two decades and have no complaints.
