Re: Shotguns - The most overrated weapon for zombies

I just picked up a Mossberg 500C 20ga at a garage sale for $80. Are you saying I should get my money back? :ohdear: Naw, keep your gun if you like it. Get some training, take it to the range, figure out what it can and can't do and you will be fine. That's what *someone* said. If I like it I can ke...

Greetings from WNY

That's Western New York for those who might not know. Definitely not to be confused with The City (pls note capital letters) and the whole Downstate area. I'm between Rochester and Buffalo, to be more precise. I'm a long-time student of survival, zombie fan/hunter, and bring a lot of skills to the g...

Re: I literally cannot find a .45 I like

Can I ask a question that I didn't see posed yet? Why not Glock? You said you like your Glocks in 9mm. Have you tried it in other calibers? I, too, have used a Glock (M19) in 9mm and liked it. I own a Glock M30 in 45acp and LOVE it. I had a Colt 1991A1 Commander in .45 and HATED it. Too heavy/bulky/...

Re: My 4 year old daughter tries to buy a Pink Ruger 10/22

I bought a used Rossi Youth Model rifle (.22/.410) for my daughter a year or so ago. She's 7 now and loves to go shooting with papa. She loves it even MORE when I bring the scoped 10/22 because apparently she's developing into a crack shot! She was shooting the heck out of Zombie targets after a whi...

Re: New Glock Owner Seeking Accessory Help

Thanks for the info, guys. Appreciate it. My Glock came with a Glock mag loader. It took a while to get used to but now that I've gotten the hang of it, I've found it to be very helpful in loading the factory mags. I'll probably skip the cheap mags and get another Glock-made mag, although $30 seems...

Re: Home Defense Shotgun Shells

Ok... just to get it out of the way, in the event of a COMPLETE SHTF scenario... the dead rising from the grave, cats and dogs living together, total mass hysteria... I would use ANYTHING that will fit in the chamber and fire in the defense of myself and my family. On the other end of the spectrum, ...

Re: New Ammo Price Watch

I tried some of that Pakistani ammo before - at a Law Enforcement Range Day and Expo that comes here once a year. I ran a clip of it through a NEW Springfield Socom (.308). Every round short stroked, ejected the spent round, but failed to strip another round off the clip and feed it into the chamber...
