Re: What levels of EMT are there on ZS?

OK so I understand it properly... ( I just completed my Basic Class and Practicals (about 200 hours) and have a test number but have yet to schedule so I'm very green) These short courses are individual State recognized courses but not Nationally recognized courses right? Do you NREMT test or do yo...

Re: Huge Wildfire near Austin, TX

I don't know about you guys, but this could probably be the worst kind of natural disaster that could the area right now. The entire hill country is tinder. I've burned juniper before, I know how it burns like a torch when green. I remember at a range management seminar I once attended the guy said...

Re: Advice about buying silver

As of noon CDT silver has continued it's rapid decline in value to under $36/oz or about ~10%ish today. Down about ~28% since Friday last week. Caveat emptor.... do your own diligence. Yep.. Problem with this is it hurts your bottom dollar in more ways than one. Not just in spot price, but actually...

Re: Fire in TX-Aftermath Pics

I was talking about PK to someone the other day and they told me even the boat docks burned.

We've had our own problems with fire. Lucky to get a 1/2 inch of rain last week, but it's still dry. Had almost 190,000 acres burn in a 45 mile vicinity of my AO in the last 1 1/2 month.

I also own models of the first two guns he has for sale. The 270 WSM is a nice shooting rifle. I use it for deer hunting and whatever else because it will do it. The Stoeger, I started out using as a claybird gun as a joke. I've gotten so good with it that it will be what I shoot all summer long. Th...

Good information here folks, thank you. But I am still perplexed by the scenario the SHTF, my 100k in savings isnt worth 5k and I need to pay my property taxes to keep my land. I will need to be able to deal in some currency that government would accept to pay this taxes or lose my land and all the...

Re: What to do AFTER the Financial Collapse

Personally, I am an optimist and I believe we will be fine. We have been here before (ex: 1970's) and we climbed out....we will fix this too. US work ethic, ingenuity, pride and desire to sustain our way of life is STRONG . We must unite from the left and right, we must assert leadership at all lev...

Simple.... I will feed my cattle until it's their turn to feed me...... it really depends what animals your talking about. Whether they can graze naturally or your raising rabbits in your backyard. For me as long as the grass is good, then they are getting fed.

I'm surprised more of these southern boys havn't chimed in. A good glass of tea is bragging rights. I'm about to make another batch to see how it compares to McCallisters. If it's any good I'll post it up. Almost hot enough outside, I should be able to get my wife to make some sun tea pretty quick.

This is what I would take if it was just me bugging out. I've built this truck from the ground up and know every nut and bolt right down to the engine internals (will admit I haven't messed with the auto trans). It's just big enough to hold me and my gear, but wouldn't do me much good against hosti...

That thing is sweet. I would have some one from a local museum or college look at it before you get prices. I wouldn't expect a lot of money. I think it would be worth more as a curio, that your dad found it, then what you'll get offered. Just me though... If it still had some wood on it, then I wou...

I don't have one worthy of posting right now( I know, I know.)At the moment we are trying to come up with something that taste similar to McCallisters sweet tea in my household.
